This is nacho. He is 2 years old. He got out 5 weeks ago and got his taste of freedom. Since then this is his 3rd time out. He’s not fixed and his date to be fixed is in April. He got an eye infection being out last time and I’ve kept him inside for 3 weeks! One of my kids left our second story bathroom window open and he was just dying to get outside I guess he saw that opportunity and took it. I went through our hse cameras. I noticed him gone 20 minutes after he got out. We searched the neighborhood. Please if you see him let me know.

Ugh. I hope he's not out looking for a girlfriend - unneutered tomcats will travel up to 5 miles for a female in heat 😞 If you haven't already, put up flyers everywhere as many people aren't on social media. Since he's not microchipped, give flyers to every vet clinic, rescue, and shelter in the area in case he turns up. Since he's not neutered, ask them all about any local TNR groups and community cat feeders, and give them flyers too, in case he turns up at a colony somewhere looking for a girlfriend. Ask your neighbors to check their cameras, garages, sheds, and crawlspaces. Look up in trees in case he was chased. Walk the neighborhood in the wee hours with a flashlight and look for glowing eyes. Call him in a regular voice (not panicked) and gently shake a treat bag if he likes that kind of stuff. If he's injured or scared, he's probably hunkered down and hiding, but he may not answer you when you call. That's just instinctual, as a vocal cat gives away their location to predators, and an injured cat is prey. Put his beds/blankets and some of your dirty clothes on your porches and around the perimeter of your yard. When he comes home, you might consider building or buying a catio (some people have bought pre-made chicken coops and "attached" them to their houses with kitty access through a window); or, if you have a fenced-in yard, consider putting up cat-fencing or coyote rollers on top of the fence to keep him safely in your yard. Good luck ❤️
