This is my grandmother's best friend he ran out her front door sep 3rd, we are hoping to find him very soon, one to make sure he is okay and two so she may get a night's rest.

Escaped cats do not go far. They stay somewhere very close by hiding. Leave the door cracked open that it escaped from- that has worked for several. Don’t leave food or litter out because it will only attract other critters. Look for its eyes at night with a flashlight and up in the trees. Listen at night- that’s mostly when cats will try to return. They have their own GPS. They are just scared and hiding. If not fixed, they could be a little while before they come back due to looking for a mate

They are likely close by hiding, please conduct physical searches of the area several times a day and softy and calmly talk to them (please note: statistically lost indoor only cats are typically found within a 6 or so house radius, lost outdoor cats a 12 house radius), set food station up at point lost and monitor. Trail cams at the food station can help with possible sightings and are a great tool. They will likely come out at night. They are most active 12:00 am to dawn when things are quiet. Please take a flashlight and search low under bushes, etc., notify neighbors and get out flyers. Be sure to look in nearby outbuildings, garages, crawl spaces, etc.
