Veterinarian will not charge you an office visit to scan her for a chip..is female?? Check her for babies..injuries... then PLEASE TAKE HER HOME because if she goes to Halifax or Animal Services like they will INSIST if you contact Animal Services they may her. Or hand her over to a dog fighter or something. There have been literally 100s of arrest in that area and down Nova , Ridgewood , Holly Hill Daytona...100s of dogs taken and people's animals stolen out of yards, cars or animals trapped or grabbed on streets. Horrible vicious people all the way around. But people can LIE SO WELL.. PLEASE do not give your home address location or allow anyone to come to your home IF someone has a chip or contacts you. A VET I used to go to would work with me when trying to locate lost pets and they have to have solid proof of being the guardians... and WHY AND HOW the dog ended up lost can be a reason NOT to return an animal who may be IN DANGER... PROTECT animals because honest people will not get upset they will appreciate how much you care to protect their fur family IF one is legitimately lost by no fault of their own ignorance or carelessness...
