Message from Owner

My mom’s cat, Henley, has been missing for a few weeks now! She’s very skittish and shy of people, so please do not approach her. Take a photo if you can and call or text Alli if spotted: 419-944-5044. She is microchipped. Please help bring her home!

There are a lot of businesses over there with truck docks. She could have gotten in to one of those buildings. You could take a companion with you and check with the businesses and ask them to put up a flyer with her picture and your information. She is beautiful! I hope she can get back to your mom soon.

Cats don't usually go far. She's probably scared and hiding/seeking shelter nearby. Keep checking under nearby porches, decks, shrubs and in garages and sheds. Best times to search and call for her are dusk and dawn. Shake her treat bag while calling her name. Keep putting her food, water, canned tuna/fishy canned cat food and something with her scent on it outside the door to help her find her way back. The fishy canned food is important because they can smell it from farther away. Let neighbors and mail carrier know that she's missing so they can be on the lookout for her. Put flyers up in the area and include a reward. Post on Sylvania/Toledo Lost and Found Pet page to get the word out. Since she has been gone for awhile and is already scared and skittish, I would recommend setting a humane trap. It's how I finally got my cat back after he was lost for seven weeks. He was also very fearful and skittish and wouldn't come to me whenever I spotted him in the area. I caught him almost immediately after setting the trap with fishy tuna canned cat food in it. I believe you can borrow a humane trap from Humane Ohio on Alexis Road, although I ordered mine online. Sending prayers for beautiful Henley to be safe and home very soon. Don't give up!!
