Message from Owner
My cat Boo. Jumped out. Of. The window while we were driving down the road yesterday. We were going about 15 mph. We stopped the car. I was terrified that she ran him over, but he darted towards the steep wall of rock behind the hses that goes up to Valley View Lane. The driver had her window all the way down. I was not aware of this. She didn't hit Boo, but I'm afraid that he was injured from jumping from a moving vehicle and was bleeding internally. There is no other explanation for why he hasn't appeared or came to eat. We were only about 30 yards from out home. However, we've only been here about 1 week, He disappeared into the rock wall and wasn't seen again. I ran around Laurel Run ests until 4:00 AM yelling his name. I ventured out into the woods a bit, as well, but it was very dark. Boo has been an indoor/outdoor cat his entire life. I rescued him 2 years ago. His owner fell from a roof and was in a coma for 6 months and never came back for him. Boo was a stray for almost a year. Four months after I moved into my last apmt (Scranton, PA), Boo walked in the door with me one day and never left. The neighbors said this was extremely out of character for him, as he never went into anyone else's home. For this reason, i don't think he would be comfortable in anyone's home. Plus, he'd hear me yelling for him all day/night, Boo gets frightened VERY easily. He does NOT bite or scratch. He will hiss and swipe if threatened, but he never actually puts his claws out or bites down. I have never seen him break the skin on anyone over the years. Because he was thrust onto the streets for a year until he found me, he has terrible anxiety. He can be terrified of other animals, but he can also be best friends with other animals, too. He has NEVER run off on me. Even though he was partially an outside cat, he never left my yard. I moved to Laurel Run, PA last week. He does NOT know this area. Being that it is mostly woods, I'm terrified that he is lost in the forest. I'm even more terrified that he was internally injured when he jumped from the moving vehicle and crawled in-between the rocks to die. (Cats find cool, dark places when they are dying and prefer to die alone). I was right behind him yelling his name. He just vanished. I've been wandering the streets of this small neighborhood for 24 hours yelling "BOO!!". I haven't slept. Please, please call me if you find him. He wasn't wearing his collar. He answers to "Boo", "Boo Bear", "Boo Boo", and "Boo Kitty". If he hears a bag of treats being shaken, he will come running. I've had his food and litter box outside on the porch hoping he'd smell the litter box or at least come eat, but I haven't seen him in 24 hours. My name is Amber Talarico. Boo is vaccinated and neutered.
