WHAT TO DO 1. Have you posted this on NextDoor? Most lost/found pets live in the immediate area, so this is one of the very best ppl places to post! There is a free phone app. Or if you don't want another app, you can join on your desktop, tablet or laptop too. (Just Google NextDoor.) 2. Post in the RING app. An alert will go out. You don’t need a ring to download and post to the app. 3. If your pet has been microchipped, go IMMEDIATELY online and make sure your chip has been registered with your contact information. So many people get their pets chipped, and don't realize that they have been sent home with instructions on how to register it with their contact information. Or they forget to. The vets don't do it for you. More then half the chipped pets we've been finding don't have any contact information registered for the owners. It's incredibly frustrating. A chip should just be a backup for a collar and contact tag, which enables a finder to quickly reunite the pet with the owners. A tag can be quickly and inexpensivley made at PetsMart. If you don't have a contact tag and collar, I encourage you to get one upon finding your pet. 4. Check the shelters. Many shelters have a lost and found page on their website that allows you to post the animal you lost/found. 5. Post on PAWBOOST 6. Leave your garage door partly open with her bed and food inside. If your dog is used to going on walks in your neighborhood, it will recognize your property. If they come back they will often go inside the garage and wait by the door, instead of continuing to run. 7Posted it on your local mom’s groups on Facebook in Your City 🌆
