Three years old, small and had red white and green bowtie collar on and is microchipped

Message from Owner

I’ve searched through my neighborhood and asked my neighbors and Luna has been missing for two weeks now. She is a short haired tabby cat, who is microchipped with black, gray, and brown stripe markings. She is very smart and if she still has her collar on, it has her name tag with my phone number and address and a white, red & green plaid collar with bow tie-missing from the Hazelwood neighborhood

Alice Ottley You could try battery-powered (9V) “scat mats” to place at doorways to the outside and air-spray canisters (Ssssscat!! brand) to place at doors to deter escape. It really is in her best interest to stay indoors since the outside is so very dangerous for socialized cats, I.e., coyotes and hawks. https://www.americanhumane.org/public-education/indoor-cats-vs-outdoor-cats/

Rene Dierker yes she’s fixed, but she is an indoor/outdoor cat. I tried to keep her strictly an indoor cat, but she always escapes and she hates being indoors now. She’s very active and a hunter and is always bringing dead moles to the porch for me. A few days before she went missing one of my other cats was missing for three days, but she came back. My other two cats are indoor cats only and they all get along and have grown up together. I adopted Luna and another cat at the same time from the SPCA in 2022 and then a year later in 2023-I adopted two more at the same time. They have all been fixed. They are all girls except for one.

You might try a live trap, they are fairly cheap on amazon, my Jane wanted to come back but was too overwhelmed and scared, she had made a home under a backyard shed across the street and wouldnt let anyone near her. I saw she kept coming around the doors at night and if i didnt have other pets, i would have left the door cracked and that may have solved it. Eventually she was found eating hamburger in the trap on my front porch and all was right again. It took about 3 weeks for her to show up and i did have to release squirrels and possums along the way which were easy. Tuna in oil also makes a lot of scent. Make sure there's water too. If its cold out, wrap the trap in a blanket and make sure to check it often, check it often no matter what the weather is. In fact, best to keep a camera on it. I believe in Jane's case, the live trap was her only chance. Best of luck and a swift resolve for you I hope
