Message from Owner

Bhodie is my service animal, he is trained to ask and is extremely important for my wellbeing. He was surrendered to York SPCA without my knowledge or consent by a trusted one, out of spite. We have joint microchip registrations which is why he may have been able to be surrendered with just one owner present. He was not abandoned, I am offering a reward for his safe return. He is not lost, someone has him.

Sherri Fosbenner my dog was not missing prior to this, he has never been. there would’ve been no need to check agencies. I was not home for a period of time handling my career, he was then surrendered and in turn already adopted so all I can do is hope this reaches the owner somewhere.

Joyce Wendler thank you Joyce. It’s definitely impossible now that he’s been adopted but thank you so much for the support.

Faith Romberger the only legal action I can take is a civil case against other person, which will not result in retrieving Bhodie regardless. SPCA will not intervene or mediate. Thank you for your support faith.

Tracy Schwartz thank you. They have just responded and they will not intervene or enforce anything as the new adopter is now Bhodies legal entity. Even whilst offering support financially to SPCA and the adopter. Thank you for the support.

Seems like I’m receiving other information in which….. legally I can if my pet is property in PA. You are claiming I can’t have my dog so why would I be able to have it later, which doesn’t make sense. I’m not even deployed yet, do you know how long it takes to get a ship date? I was PREPARING for enlistment. Go tend to your kids. Seems like a better way to utilize your time, you can comment and I can comment. Have the day you deserve.

Noah Gilchrist you have now spirled my man i simply made one comment and you talking about everything now I never even brought up, something about your situation doesnt make sense. And this a public page I can comment on that if I want! Sorry YOU lost your dog but you should be happy he is in a home being loved. I don't think its fair for you to come in now and be like ohh I want this dog. Plus legally you can't anyway.

Joyce Wendler I simply stated if you couldn't have him before how did it all of a sudden change? So calm it down. Looks like this dog is being loved and that should make you happy unfortunately you ended up in a situation because you didnt have your ducks in a row. That is not my fault!

Although it would be disappointing, the SPCA can request the adopting family bring the dog back. And perhaps you could offer to help them adopt another pet.

Noah Gilchrist PA law regards pets as property. Hopefully you won’t need to pursue legal action, and York SPCA will work with you.
