Message from Owner

Bhodie is my service animal, he is trained to ask and is extremely important for my wellbeing. He was surrendered to York SPCA without my knowledge or consent by a trusted one, out of spite. We have joint microchip registrations which is why he may have been able to be surrendered with just one owner present. He was not abandoned, I am offering a reward for his safe return. He is not lost, someone has him.

Noah Gilchrist I’m sorry you’re going through this and hope you find answers. Fwiw, earlier this year I helped a gent who had been deployed whose brother had been caretaking the dog. The brother had a medical crisis and relinquished the dog. Unlike yours, it wasn’t chipped. The new family now lets him visit 🤷‍♀️ You have evidence, hope it goes better for you.

Gabrielle Ott Ream are you having trouble reading and comprehending or..? Bhodie was in my home. He was surrendered by my ex girlfriend from my home. We share the home. Do I need to dumb it down…? Or…? A traveling dog = a not thriving dog? I never said I couldn’t afford him, I can’t afford the high cost of living ALONE without DUAL INCOME after essential bills in the East Coast. My dog is very well cared for financially, he is not underweight and he is not morbidly obese and unable to run as his breed should. Thank you and try again. Being a stay at home wife is a privilege, humble yourself. Having $1500 leftover after bills are paid is still living paycheck to paycheck. I do not aspire to stay broke and financially unstable. I am taking steps to avoid having a measly $1500 leftover of my paycheck, if that constitutes as unstable, then so be it to your standards. I hope you’re never in a position like this or worse. Have the day you deserve.

Noah Gilchrist no but if they do have someone watching them they should have someone responsible doing such 😳 doesnt sound like you set the dog up for success constantly moving him around not being able to afford him then leaving him with someone "trustworthy " didnt sound like anything in his life has been stable.

Gabrielle Ott Ream please explain to me how this translates to an unhappy and not thriving dog. He is completely off leash trained thanks to the work and bond I have put into this dog. He used to hurt himself to get out of a crate, he used to dash into streets at the look of a squirrel. Let’s not be ignorant and talk out of our ass because you have got it wrong. This is not the look of a dog that needs a “more” stable environment. He is as stable as he can be and I have provided that. This dog is my life.

Gabrielle Ott Ream what do you mean? Many people have pets that stay with their wives or family during deployment..? Because I intended to enlist I shouldn’t have my dog? That is ridiculous. That is like saying because a family is moving they shouldn’t have their dog with them because of the stress on the dog of relocation. This dog has traveled for 16 hours in a car from over the states, that is a very ignorant comment.

Noah Gilchrist if you couldn't take him then how can you take him now? Sounds like this poor boy was shuffled around alot and needs a stable home environment to thrive in... which you should be happy for him that he has found that ❤️

Laura Jean I have contacted them. I am seeing if information can be provided. I would imagine they can’t release a name for privacy reasons. I am not familiar yet with laws and rights for a situation like this in PA.
