Description

Taby Grey with clipped ear indicating TNR. She was a juvenile when I met her. I have protected her from older cats for months. Now she is a full adult female. She is extremely stealthy accept around me. But construction caused her to vanish. Most likely into suppression.

Message from Owner

This cat is TNR but ate with me for 7 months straight in the mornings and often in the evenings. Construction caused her to disappear. She was getting close and attached and I got very attached to her. I was trying to get her used to me enough to give her a home.

Thanks. I have used scent items already. The issue is definitely a form of female suppression(a protection mechanism they have no control over) caused by . This can put them in a state of not showing themselves and only staying within a 100 foot radius and become invisible. This is why she is hard to find. I saw the onset of suppression happen in real time. She is not a full pet, I was going to adopt her though. She is pure TNR and was very feral. She will only show herself to me but not in a suppressed state. Most neighbors don't even know she existed because of how quietly she moves around and stays invisible. Most of the lost cat advice goes to pets, not a truly feral cat that has grown attached and slowly had become an outdoor partner/friend. Thanks for the advice! I will check those places.

Lost grey gray tabby If you have lost a cat read my first long paragraph. If you found one, Please read the last paragraph The only way a lost cat can find its way home is with its nose. Immediately anything with the cat's scent on it and anything that stinks of you like your smelly socks something that you sweated in overnight and your stinky sneakers even your dirty clothes and your underwear! Cats usually stay within a five house radius of their own home for up to a week sleeping in the bushes and coming out at dusk Dawn and late at night. These are good times to take walks shaking the treat bag and calling for them. Cats can smell up to a whole mile away. So do that immediately and also put this on nextdoor. com and the other lost and found pet sites. Go on those sites looking at pics of found cats too. There might be a match. They tend to come home late at night or early in the morning so if you can keep a window cracked or a door cracked so at least you hear them. Good luck IF YOU HAVE FOUND A CAT: Please post this on all the lost and found pet pages in your county as well as all the neighborhood pages. Look on those pages just look at the photos try to make a match to someone that lost this cat. Any vet will check for a chip for free. In the meantime please give food and water to the kitty and shelter if you can.

Go around late at night calling them with food and flashlight to catch their eyes. Check around your neighborhood under houses and in small places where they may hide. Put stuff out that has yours and their scent on it. Hang flyers around for people to see. Check shelters and vets daily. Update chip info if they have a chip and its has not been update since a move. Ask neighbors to check in their garages incase they ended up trapped in one. I pray you get your baby back safe and soon.

Heather Markanovich Unfortunately I am fairly certain not. No tipped ear and she is TNR. Which kind of puts her in a low category for pickups with full shelters. She was displaced most certainly from construction and probably in a state of suppression. I post here hoping people around my immediate neighborhood will see her.

Heather Markanovich Thanks. But no that is not her. She has a tipped ear from TNR. So I am doubting she is picked up. TNR cats are usually left alone. She was displaced from my yard due to construction beyond my control. Most likely still in the area but in suppression. Hence I posted here to see if anyone around my area has spotted her. Thank you.
