Message from Owner

She has been part of our family for almost 12 years. We got her when she was only a few days old. She is an inside cat that has never been outside before. No collar because she didn't like it. We missed her so much.

I saw this cat walking on the sidewalk at 1139 Woodridge Pl. By the time I got turned around to go back for a second look & possibly photo or rescue, the cat was nowhere to be seen. I drove all through that area and back roads looking for her. I would strongly encourage you to put up flyers on this main road, because I know there were families out walking and likely more people saw her as well. If they know she is lost, you will have better luck being reunited with her, because as is people will just assume she is just an outdoor cat

Most cats stay fairly close to home when they get out so chances are high your cat is on your property or somewhere on your block, most likely three or four houses away. Search at night with a flashlight because the eyes will glow. Cats sometimes get stuck up in trees and can't get down so check there. Also check inside and under places he might be stuck or hiding such as sheds, barns, garages, crawl spaces, decks. Talk to your neighbors, put up missing cat posters up to a half a mile away, post on all local social media, and make sure to check with animal control weekly. Some people have had luck by putting something with the cat's smell, or the scent of home, out on the porch. Sometimes people also have luck finding their cat by walking around at dawn carrying an open can of tuna or smelly canned cat food.

They usually don’t go very far, only 2 to 3 houses away check all of the outbuildings, shrubs, your neighbors buildings, and go outside with a flashlight at night so you can see their eyes and call for them. She’s probably very close hiding somewhere and scared.
