MESSAGE FROM OWNER

She is a sweet kitten. I am her only family and mother. Since so many cats disappeared in our Broussard, LA area, we are all concerned. All have the same comments our cats never leave. Mine only ran after the neighbor's rodents and bugs. She always came to the door to come in and eat. I am helping all who have lost their cats. Ever grateful

DESCRIPTION

Oct 2 2023 March 20, 2024 still missing Missing female kitten in Broussard, LA 70518 Second St. Eola St or Sugar Drive Calico dark colors brown black and white, green eyes. Born around Valentine's Day 7 months old. Black collar with silver bell. Likes to eat tuna. Friendly and sweet but cautious with strangers. She never would leave the neighborhood nor go far. She always chased after the neighbor's rodents and bugs. She was so happy and loved being a little worker. All animals know that the neighbors are evil and cruel. Last scene Oct. 2, 2023 8:30 pm A neighbor walked on the driveway and bent down to give the kitten something. His girlfriend watched from the street. Later I heard loud noises and screams. I assumed that the other neighbor's dog caught a mouse and the man gave it to the chickens. The dog and the chicken's screams were very loud. Any eye witnesses to these events would be helpful. People say that God will give them revenge, but it hurts to think that humans would destroy animals in such cruel manner. I believe in my heart she is gone and they made her suffer because she was love, goodness, and very happy. All The Time Ever grateful

Suggestions that Work to Help Lost Pets: 1. If you have found a pet, please have the dog/cat scanned for a microchip. Any vet will scan (free of charge). Including the emergency vet (open 24 hours). Lafayette Vet Care Center. If your lost pet is microchipped, contact the microchip company right away. 2. Put a BIG sign in the area where you found the dog/cat, or in your front yard, if you've taken in or have lost a pet. Someone may be driving around looking for their lost pet or for the owner of a pet they found. If your lost pet is a cat, put their litter box, food, and water outside. 3. Put fliers all around the area and at vet's offices, for a pet you've lost or for a pet you've found. 4. Post on the facebook page "Lafayette, Louisiana-Lost Dogs, Cats, and Pets" (Paw Boost) and similar FB pages in your area. Include your CONTACT INFORMATION in your posts. Be sure to include your PHONE NUMBER when filling out the information on Paw Boost. Check the comments on your post. 5. Be sure to check other posts on the page, to see if someone is looking for a pet you've found, or if someone has posted about a pet they found, that you lost. On some pages, this is under "Visitor's posts". 6. Get the Nextdoor app, and post on it. 7. Make your Facebook posts PUBLIC so people can share. Check the comments. Someone may have information. 8. Include EXACTLY where the pet was found or lost. City, street name and specific area of the city or parish. 9. GO TO the animal shelter and look for your pet or hang a flier about a lost/found pet. Don't call - the front office staff cannot help you. Go there and bring a flier with the pet's photo and your phone number. 10. The Lafayette Animal Shelter and Care Center's website is here: www(dot)lafayettela(dot)gov/lascc. Click Lost and Found and then Search the Shelter to see the animals who are there now. Is your pet there? (It's always better to go there in person, if you can, and speak with someone and see the animals there. Sometimes the photos are not great, especially of a scared cat or dog.) Thank you!
