Debbie Romanowicz-Desjardin thanks - I did message urban cat coalition and chained dogs MKE since they also have resources but will also reach out to the others you mentioned. I’m aware he’s supposed to go to madaac but wanted to make sure a rescue would be able to step in after the stray hold.

Melissa Ward a rescue can only take in surrendered animals. Wisconsin state law requires that any found domestic animal must be turned over to Madacc first. You can reach out to Almost Home cat rescue, Urban Cat Coalition or Cats at Large and give them the intake number from Madacc and they can get the cat after its 5 day stray hold. Madacc will provide the medical treatment this baby needs and nueter him after his stray hold as well as up date him on his vaccinations. Kristin M Wilson any other suggestions ?

I forgot to add that he has a short tail. If there are any rescues that are willing to assist with either medical care or fostering please contact me. Update: Captain Jack Stubbs as my friend and I named him 😆 has been taken to madaac. I think / hope he’ll be an amazing friend to someone after he’s feeling better. His # is A484001. Thank you to Debbie Romanowicz-Desjardin for recommending Cats at Large MKE / the CatBus who in addition to Urban Cat Coalition has promised to make sure he was rescued if he’s at risk for euthanasia which is what I was hoping for. Also thanks to Jack’s Playground for offering assistance also. I feel so grateful to you all.
