It’s not a typical response of Team Ruby. If they are involved in several searches, they will at minimum give you some guidance and even allow you to check in with them every now and again as you give them updates whether it’s with sightings or without sightings.
I could try and get you the name and contact of another search dog team if you want. But in the meantime, not to waste time, I would make sure the flyers are definitely out at all intersections and a local businesses, and I would make sure to do this as much as you can 5 to 10 miles out from where he went missing.
Also, if you haven’t done, so, already notify police departments again, 5 to 10 miles out of the local area of where you live. Also check with shelters in that area and even especially the veterinarians in that area in case the pet was brought into one of them for care. They are also a good one to make sure they have your poster.
I’m not gonna give you false hope but I do wanna let you know that many of these pets go into survival mode so well you’re saying your dog is friendly and approachable after a few days they go into fright survivor mode. And they will be shying away from folks who will approach them, so your posters need to say, do not chase and do not call the pets name and only to call you with sightings. I can also share that many times if the pet has not been spooked they will stay in the local area and again that’s like within that 5 to 10 mile range. And again without giving you false hope I’ve seen dogs go missing for months and even for years and still be able to be found and brought home.
