That looks and sounds like Fenner! Super friendly indoor/outdoor cat, always slips out of his collar, and has been catnapped at least twice before by well meaning cat lovers because he himself is so loving. Fenner’s owner has responded via Pawboost and is awaiting an answer.Read More

All of the interactions we have with posts gets them seen by more people, even just looking at it!
But likes are better, and not just likes on the post, but on every reasonable comment to!
Simply liking a comment later will bring someone back, they may comment again or like other comments! or even share!
the care and heart reactions help even more. But commenting is better and sharing is best!
If you do make a post or share, make sure all of your posts and shared posts are set to public AND open to public comment.. Often they are not open..
It's a - separate - setting
In the 3 dots at the top right of each post.
Editing is also in the 3 dots in the top right of every post. Update posts that way, so that the new posts don't dilute the points Facebooks algorithms use to decide if a post is popular (so they show it to more people)
.. Many group posts are open to public comment. but often the posts people make on their OWN Facebook profiles pages wall are not..
Sometimes they aren't public at all!
Also, If you do make or share a post, or its contents.. Make ONE post in a group, or your wall. Then share that one post to everywhere..
Do not make multiple posts.
Share one post to multiple places.
It makes a HUGE difference in how the social media algorithms collect and stack 'points' for more and more views..
And it also makes communication easier because it's all linked together very tightly to one post.
This is especially true when its not your post or your created content. people who created the content will have no way to benefit from or see the comments unless you keep them in the loop.
Be sure to check your message for message requests, even check the spam box.. they are in a different part of the message system, look for red dots on symbols and or numbers next to some symbols in the top left areas of the direct massaging part of Facebook, the dots are on the bottom right of the symbols, it will say message requests in the options of those symbols.
There are often MANY groups for every city AND county, so be sure to post that one post in all of them. you can copy the link to the other posts and paste them in the other posts comments to help keep all of them connected and lessen the need for you and others to repeat things. Especially if you already made multiple separate posts..
Many of the best groups look like
"Lost and found pets of X country"
Or
lost and found pets of x city...
I hear comments longer than 5 words are ranked much higer than smaller comments. Not sure about that one need to look it up
Unfortunately
Making posts fully public can increase the risk of sćammĕrs, (mostly for lost and found posts) and abusive strangers.. so be on guard for suious activity. Never leave the post to go talk in private (in dm or pm) unless you are VERY aware of śćàm tactics..
Once they have people in private conversations they can sćăm without the administration or others stopping and banning them..
and NEVER send anyone ANY codes..
ALL "ìńśťagram "help" are sćàms as well as almost all dŕòñė sěrvćes..
(Had to spell if funny or most groups would ban me to😅 .. sigh)
For lost friend posts, it is in general best to just ignore all links and such given by strangers on posts.
Instead go to offical pages like big lost and found groups and rescues and shelters pages and ask them directly who you should contact.
And what may be just as important:
if you show gratitude to the people who help you, they are more likely to help more, and not only will they help you more, but they may help many others who will need help in the future..
....we dont do this for the thanks, BUT IT SURE HELPS!! we have hard days to, depression is very common in these paths..
So please help keep everyone going when you have the time and energy and such to do so..
Thank you for helping everyone 🙏🏻Read More

To be clear, do not rehome, give away, or transfer them directly to anyone.
When animals are given away without proper verification and screening, including background checks where appropriate, the risk of abuse, exploitation, or theft is much higher than most people realize.
In many areas you are even legally required to report the animal to animal control or a licensed shelter or rescue. They will do a medical check, scan for a microchip, check vet records, document the found location, and require proof of ownership from anyone claiming the animal.
If not reclaimed, reputable shelters and rescues charge an adoption fee and screen adopters. Abuse and exploitation cases overwhelmingly target animals offered for free..
But you can ask them to give you their vet references, rabies tag info and vaccination information.
Then, take the dog to that vet and verify everything in person.
That way we can catch scammers!Read More
Fostering? Often systems and people will pay for ALL the food and tools you need to foster! They even often pay for neutering, vaccinations, and flee and worm s!
Temporary fostering should be a really good way to help. Many shelters and rescues agree!
So many more people would help if it was only for a day or 2 or 3 maybe a week at most, for most..
And i bet many of them will become long term fosters and even adopt them.
to make it work we would need a local and semi local list of temporary fosters; how long and how often and when they are likely available.. then we can call them on short notice to go pick them up or meet or be ready for a drop off.. that and linking them all to the resource networks so they can get supplies they need donated.
Many ai tools can help organize that very well now. Not sure if any free ones can, but id say its a 99% chance a free one will work wonders.
That and we need to get the word out about it.. they cant sign up if it doesnt exist and or they dont know about it.
Also we need to expand the laws against sėlling people for profit...
..and buýing them..
Rescues and shelters are the ONLY ones that should be able to sęll people -> to rescue them....
.. and laws against non medically necessary surgery or body modifications.
Anyway, Ultimately the best way to spend cash on these problems is to support neutering programs and get your friends to take their's in.. every dollar spent on that saves 1000s of dollars in just a year or 2..
therefore saving many more lives than endlessly donating on the rescue end ever will😔 ..Rescues and shelters still need help obviously, but the best way to lower the amount of cash they need, is to lower the amount of "unwanted" people they have to help..
Thank you for helping spread the ideas🙏🏻Read More
My orange cat has been missing from Trenton since Aug. 1st. Pipsqueak is a large 6 year old Neutered male who is mostly orange with 2 pure white stripes near the end of his tail. Could you please compare his picture with the cat you found? Thank you
🚨Please follow these tips immediately suggested by professionals. They have been successful for others.
LOST CAT TIPS
Your Missing Cat will try to re-enter the home when the neighborhood is quiet. If it all possible, leave the door ajar that the kitty escaped from and secure other companion animals to a separate room of the home. He/she will try to re-enter when the neighborhood is quiet in the evening and overnight hours.
Make sure you physically check underneath and in the engine compartment of your vehicles prior to starting in the morning.
Cats typically don't go very far, and are hiding, so you'll have to search for them.
Put clothing/bedding that smell like him/her and his/her family outside the home immediately. Along with some smelly food such as tuna,. sardines,. mackerel fish in front of camera if you have one. The usually will follow the scent home.
If you have a garage, leave the door open enough for him/her to get in.
If you live in a mobile home community look under yours and your neighbor's homes.
Check around your home: bushes, up in trees, deck, porch etc. If their head fits their body will too!
Door-knock neighbors and ask them to check outbuildings, sheds, garages and ring cam footage.
Use a flashlight to look under cars, bushes and up in trees for the glow of the kitties eyes. Go out periodically through out the night shaking his/her treats or opening a can of wet food and call to him/her. Listen for any responses and watch for movement and/or eyes peering out.
Renting/borrowing/buying a live trap and setting within the first 24 hours your cat has been missing is a good idea. Live traps need to be monitored frequently. Be prepared to release wildlife. You can purchase a live trap at tractor supply store. Use sardines, mackerel fish or tuna in the trap, they will not go in a trap for cat food. The only food they should have access to is what's in the trap or they will not go in.
Post on Nextdoor app and any other neighborhood groups on Facebook. Ask neighbors to check security camera footage for sightings of him and to call you ASAP.

Posting neon posters in your neighborhood is very important to the recovery of your lost pet. Also give a flyer to the mailman. You can use neon poster board from the dollar store. Write missing cat, a description of your cat and phone number with a marker.Read More
