Oops. Just reread your post that you have an appointment to take the cat to the shelter. That is good news. They can also do a stray hold if someone is looking for their lost cat. fingers crossed. glad that you are helping!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So very happy you are working to help this fella! Yeah you!

If you can take the cat in to keep it safe, you can continue to search for its owner. I was driving on Union Street today and saw garbage out with a lot of cat stuff. My heart sank, as I wondered.............where is the cat? Did someone move and leave a cat behind? I drove around the block a couple times, just wondering... Hope it isn't the case, but if someone did recently move, and the landlord put all this stuff out on the curb, and the cat is like "huh? what happened? why am I outside now?" It just happens way too much. So, take the cat inside, then work on finding its owner or calling the APF or rescue groups and work on a rescue plan. good luck! Glad neighbors are caring and working on this.

You don't have to drop. Just pick him up and put him in your bathroom for now so he is safe until Tuesday when you can bring him to either the APF I'm assuming or the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society. Please bring him inside this is a very young Kitty less than a year old and you just said he is very friendly. Please bring him inside put your dog and cat in a separate room temporarily and put this little one in your bathroom with a little litter box of cozy bed some food and water. Keep this baby safe please please!
