Put some of your worn clothing by your door. The familiar scent will help guide kitty home. No litterbox or cat's bedding outside. It can attract coyotes, loose dogs and aggressive stray cats that can chase off your cat further from home or worse. Good luck.

Put his bedding and dirty clothes outside and dirtier the better.Even hang it out side they can smell it for miles.put your dirty coat outside and they stay close to your house because they are scared to be outside and hiding in the shrubs and hedges. Look for him in the evening softly calling his name with a flash light and don't give up. This is how we got our cat back after 3weeks with the help of our vet.WARNING IF YOU LIVE OUT OF THE ENTER CITY YOU HAVE TO WATCH THE LITTER BOX 24 7 FOR OTHER ANIMALS AND PREDATORS ALL THE TIME please Put his toys and bedding and cat tree on the porch and water and food and your dirty coat outside and check all the shelters close to you in person every few days. Ask your neighbor if you can ck their garage and sheds.
