Message from Owner

The Red Roof Inn unlawfully evicted us while we were out and let our animals free. Chip is the largest of the litter and he is still missing (we have been lucky to recover 4/6 animals). Please contact me if you see him, we desperately want to reunite the litter.

๐Ÿ’“ MAKE HUGE NEON POSTERS and /or a BILLBOARD To increase the chances that a neighbors calls for any possible sighting ; once there is a SIGHTING you must ADD a camera aimed at wet food at that spot to confirm it is YOUR cat - once confirmed THEN you can plan to humanely trap kitty - when you can WATCH the trap every single second.(STAKEOUT from a short distance) ๐Ÿ’“ NEON POSTER/S In front of your home and near a busy intersection everyone tends to drive by in your neighborhood. the guardian of lost cat โ€˜Claudeโ€™ created 2 of these HUGE NEON POSTERS - 1 was placed in front of her residence and the other was placed at the nearest busy intersection...a neighbor noticed the poster and then spotted kitty a few days later and called the guardian. ๐Ÿ’“ BILLBOARD Make a HUGE BillBoard using a TARP, duct tape and Blown up photo of kitty (kinkos or fedex) - to tie up at a busy intersection near you to ensure everyone in the neighborhood is aware to call you upon sighting. ๐Ÿ’“ Tip: Print 16โ€x20โ€ of clear full body photo of your cat (crop the photo to remove as much background so itโ€™s just your cat) Fedex Print stores charges $11 for one color copy, available overnight. Cut out your cat and glue/tape to each huge neon sign and for the Billboard. See Signs/Billboard Examples: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Y1h2G8kgceEs_pdhEsn9O18_ZijKLDbG/view?usp=sharing

๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–Keep calling for kitty from the escape point after darkโ€ฆkeep putting out wet food with camera aimed by sunset each nightโ€ฆ โ€˜ ๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–Keep flyering and talking to neighbors, GAIN permission to check crawl spaces and sheds and under decks of neighbors with a flashlight to catch kitty's eyes ...continue leaving WET food bowl just outside where kitty got out - you must get a camera aimed or you won't know who eats the food - a camera reveals everything . โค๏ธ Lost cat Bobby was found stuck in a neighbor's shed who had left for vacation for 2 weeks!! he fully recovered! The guardian kept stopping by until neighbor was back home and gained permission to check crawl space, storage area and shed ๐Ÿ™Œ ๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’– Lost cat REESY PUFF (lost for over 5 weeks) was finally spotted on camera - we aimed a mini blink camera where we placed wet food bowl at sunset and it took THAT long for him to come !!. In the meantime I was flyering door to door talking to neighbors and posting up flyers and gaining access to backyards to check crawl spaces using a flashlight...once caught on camera we placed the food partially inside an UN-set humane trap to get her used to going inside without negative consequences - the camera revealed she was hesitant but went in to eat (she was hungry!!) so the next night we set the trap at sunset with yummy bait and waited and watched the ipad that was linked to the mini blink camera aimed at the trap door...she came within 4 hours and by 10pm she was home with her HAPPY guardian ๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’– Lost cat Pumpkin (lost 26 days!!) was spotted on a neighbor's RING camera who had seen the flyer I posted on her door - she allowed me to set a trap and I monitored out of sight using a BABY MONITOR with a LONG extention cord leading to my car (you must watch a set trap every single second so you dn't trap a neighbors cat or wild animal!) Don't give up - keep FLYERING ...post up flyers and also go door to door taping them onto front doors so no one misses the photo and info. Keep putting wet food in bowl.dish at sunset with a camera aimed that will send your phone movement notifications and record movement. Sending you love and unwavering determination ๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–

Right now it's early and quiet - go and call for your 2 missing cats at the Inn - replace food /water..Indoor/outdoor Cats that get lost in a 'NEW TERRITORY' will find the 1st place to hide and HUNKER DOWN in SILENCE - They will remain VERY NEAR for days and weeks. Cats that are scared and in foreign environment will often NOT meow/ respond to calls even from their human (at first) ...though Kitty still needs to HEAR your CALM voice and keep hearing you (until kitty THINKS itโ€™s safe to come forward) so do not stop calling out for kitty i your normal calm voice... Kitty is in survival mode and meowing would give away the hiding spot to predators. My best thing to do is hang out where kitty escaped from sunset to as late as you possibly can. Bring the stinkiest wet food you can to place in bowl/dish...walk and call his name...BUT...THIS IS IMPORTANT...you need to STAY IN ONE SPOT and STILL for at least 20 minutes per spot -- kitty will hear your voice and want to come to you BUT he needs to know it is safe....wear warm clothesโ€ฆ. GET A battery operated WILD LIFE CAMERA AIMED at wet food you leave by escape point - so you can check footage in the AM and see WHO ate the food. Once you see your cat spotted on camera eating the food but still hiding from your calls THEN the next step is trapping your cat using a humane trap. RENT from your local animal shelter or borrow from a cat rescue. You canโ€™t believe how guardians are shocked to find their cat on camera after days and weeks and months of kitty missing - camera aimed at wet food is KEY. replace the food every am and sunset be consistent. Other cats and animals may eat the food - they watch each other, leave more food. .. Be patient...Don't give up! Kitty is out there. It can take several days before the hunger threshold is hit and kitty comes out of hiding at night to look for food. WET FOOD ONLY so you donโ€™t attract raccoons . IF NO WIFI: Wildlife/Trail camera (battery operated) Check footage manually https://a.co/d/a4Rqqdprequires 8 AA lithium batteries (buy extra) + Micro SD Memory Card: https://a.co/d/44AXvel TRAPPING/ LURING YOUR CAT: yes in a new location you sometimes have to humanely trap your own cat because they may be too scared to come forward to you when they are in survival mode: IMPORTANT: Link to TRAPPING guidance: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1SwaCTR1QrhlWg6mhq8roXmJHb6nauLCHB6v38UYCPRM/edit?usp=sharing If you cannot get WIFI from a neighbor (try your hardest will make life alot easier to be able to aim a mini blink camera (overnight on amazon or get the wireless OUTDOOR one) aim the camer to wet food bowl on someoneโ€™s property if possible - near where kitty escaped from. DO NOT LEAVE THE FOOD IN THE CAN - it will slice a catโ€™s tongue!! Wildlife camera -buy 8 lithium AA batteries: https://a.co/d/1BKTRPo SD memory stick: https://a.co/d/44AXvel LOST CAT BUSTER REMAINED WHERE HE WAS LOST (behind a vet clinic) FOR 4 WEEKS! Lost cat โ€˜Buster'sโ€™ carrier case broke outside a vet clinic and he ran across the freeway and back then darted off behind the vet clinic...I made flyers the the guardian and told her to follow my guidance but she didn't she flyered blocks away , even going door to door ...she never went out from 10pm-6am to call for him; relying on folks who weren't near the clinic. After 4 weeks she called me desperate and I told her to go that night at 10pm back to the vet clinic and call for Buster...she called me at 1030pm and screamed Buster meowed back!! he was hiding behind a fence of a closed construction shop. He had remained in the exact location (behind the clinic) for 3 weeks! She had to gain his trust for the next week returning at the same time each night and finally he came out all the way and she was able to pick him up and put him I her care and get him home! We were going to trap him once she got him used to coming out for food (he was in survival mode and was acting skittish toward her but still meowed when she called) The moral of the story (and many similar) is cats that are indoor and get outside hunker down VERY NEAR (usually within 1-3 yards) and cats that find themselves in a new location (recent move or busted carrier outside a vet clinic) will also hunker down very near...so please read my long post and follow the guidance ...dont get discouraged or lose hope. You're sweet baby is near and needs your help...spread the word in person and flyering for neighbors to take a photo if they think they spot him...sometimes you have to trap your own cat who is in survival mode..sometimes you can just pick up your baby...also kitty could be stuck in garage next door or shed...you dont know so you must cover all possibilities and take action in many forms to make sure you are doing everything possible. Be determined, stay organized , consistent and do not give up! All cats are different some meow back some hide and show up on camera - I recommend leaving wet food (stinky) and water just outside the escape door and aiming a motion sensitive camera and review footage ...check with local shelter/s online daily and /or call go in person weekly - praying it doesn't take you long to find kitty but be patient. Sending you love light and sustained determination.

Cats that get displaced from a new location tend to stick around for weeks - looking for food at night and hiding from humans during the day. Cats are largely ignored without FLYERS posted - post flyers and talk to neighbors - talk to STAFF - janitors people that work at night - you must lure your baby to food and water - he needs this to survive and to keep him there so you can either FIND him or humanely trap him ONCE you've seen him on camera get this wild life camera place it 1 foot away from wet food (NO DRY FOOD Or raccoons will eat it) and place the fodo in side 2 bowls. larger bowl on the outside fill with water to prevent ants from swarming. Get this camera - it's excellent when you don't have wifi: Wildlife/Trail camera (battery operated) Check footage manually https://a.co/d/a4Rqqdprequires 8 AA batteries - find a neighbor that will let you ship the camera to them if you don't have a place right now to receive amazon delivery. You must spend time there at night calling for him - figure out best place to put wet food where it's hidden from humans walking by and loose dogs won't get to it, like just behind a fence that cats can get through ...โค๏ธ praying you find him soon
