Message from Owner

Getting ready for a road trip and got gas at the Chevron and my cat escaped, hid under a few cars, and then ran across El Cajon blvd where I lost him. He’s a sweet little angel who is normally indoors and most likely super scared. Please need to bring him safely asap. Thank you!!

If lost 4 in the past year. Coyotes, owls, red tail Hawks. When predators get hungry, they eat. March ends the mating season for coyotes. They are still out there. Always will be out there.

Praying for his safe return home. Please dont give up on him. He will come around when he’s not scared. Keep calling, go out and sit where you saw him run.

Lost Cats Please watch the video link below from Petco Foundation that show how cats go missing and how they hide. https://www.facebook.com/FrontStreetAnimalShelter/videos/388310901737884/ If you can, leave a door or window cracked open, or garage in case kitty comes back. Cats may return on their own. Put some items with your scent outside- you’re dirty sheets or unwashed, laundry. Can of cat food or tuna fish and water. Put a trail of cat treats to your door. Place your kitty's bed, cat tree & litter box outside. Indoor cats that get out are usually no further than 3 houses away. Watch video which shows his they hide. Ask neighbors if you can look for your cat on their property such as garage is, sheds, or backyards and ask them to keep a lookout in these places. Ask your neighbors to check their Ring app which you know shows videos of what people’s cameras have seen. Make flyers with your cat picture and information and your contact info and put at all your neighbors doors/ talk to them in person so they know your cat is missing. Sometimes cats will try to come back inside very late when it's dark and quiet when they feel it's safe to come out. Cats generally stay close by, so look under bushes, cars, up trees. Most indoor cats go into survival mode and hide. Most will not respond when in "survival mode." Call your cat's name softly, listen for a meow, and look for kitty’s eyes reflection with a flashlight. They still may not come out if they hear your voice softly since they are hiding and scared. Best time is the middle of the night/ super early morning. File a lost pet report with the Humane Society. Check daily online for found stray cats photos on the San Diego Humane Society's website. - [ ] Post on sites: - [ ] Next door - [ ] Pawboost - [ ] Lost & Found Pets of San Diego, CA - [ ] Santee, CA Todays News and Information - [ ] lostmykitty.com You can try to contact Babs fry, she is a recovery specialist who did donate her time for free in the search for lost pets: 619-249-2221. Hope these tips work for you. Great video with tips to search for lost indoor cats!!! https://www.facebook.com/FrontStreetAnimalShelter/videos/388310901737884/ Tractive GPS device for cats and dogs. I use this for my two cats and I absolutely love it. https://www.facebook.com/TractivePetGPS?mibextid=LQQJ4d Scammers—-please be aware of scammers saying they have found your pet or it’s in the hospital and they need money or posting AI pictures of your pet looking on your profile. I saw in someone else’s post that this has happened to multiple people. One person was told they found their cat and it was at a vet needed $3000 worth of work and they almost paid it. Scammers are praying on desperate pet owners wanting to find their fur babies. Good luck! 💕
