Stop holding other people's animals hostage. The cat isn't lost; cats go on patrol for 10-12 hours a day then go home at night. Your house was just a stopping point. It's not starving and obviously well fed (look at it's belly). It probably belongs to a neighbor. Talk to the people around you or let it out and it'll go home.

I hope you gave the cat water and food, Foothills Animal Shelter has live cat traps you could borrow one to catch the cat, Foothills Animal Shelter will scan it for a microchip to find the owner, then will be examined by veterinary medical team, they will post photo and description on their website. That way the cat will be safe from coyotes, owls, cars, dogs, and aggressive cats.
