Message from Owner

LOST— Oliver (Oli). Last seen on Friday, May 22nd @ 3 am on SPADINA Avenue between DUNSMURE and MAIN ST EAST. Please check backyards, under porches, garages, cars, etc (especially if you live in the area and have had a garage or shed open anytime from 3 am to now - 5:20 pm). Oliver is a skittish, shy cat who has never been outdoors and is likely to be scared, yet may still respond to the sound of a shaking treat bag. Description: • Black with a slight white patch on his chest • Green eyes • Fixed • Microchipped • 10 years old • Currently not as large as he is in the photos — he is a bit skinnier now Oli is likely hiding somewhere instead of roaming. He normally is quite vocal, but likely will not be overtly friendly/attention seeking while outdoors. I understand there are a few outdoor black cats in the area, so his skinny build and his white front patch would be his biggest signifiers. Oliver has never known the outdoors before and is probably terrified. Please do not chase, but you can try to lure him with treats and soft voices. If you feel you have found Oliver, please reach out to me by Facebook or phone @, or to Vanessa Monaco by Facebook or phone @. Thank you, and please share.

My 18 year old strictly indoor cat got out by accident last month late at night. We found her in the morning hiding next door at the side of my neighbours house underneath some stuff. Indoor cats will not run away, he is likely very close by hiding somewhere. Go outside very late or very early when it's quiet and listen for his mows and eyes shining in the dark, use a flashlight. Best of luck

Please place his bedding outside, along with the owner's unwashed clothing front and back door with a can of tuna on each entrance, you can leave your garage door a bit open as well. In case it comes in that way. And leaving food there as well. Also vacuumed home dirt in a stocking hanging it in front and back of home enterence . Show your neighbors a picture of the cat. Ten houses to the left ten house to the right front and back if they spot him to give you a call immediately. Go early in the morning and shake treats calling the cats name when things are quiet.. Best of luck finding your kitty 🙏 ❤️

- [ ] The kitty is probably hiding close to home and scared. Call the kitty’s name softly morning noon and night. Late at night. Rattle a treats bag. Put out toys and food and water. Rig up a cat shelter - place articles of clothing and blankets that smell like home in the shelter. Posters work. Make posters and put them up everywhere with your phone number visibly on the poster. Ask for sightings. Don’t give up.
