Post also on Lostmydoggie.com for greater publicity. This site, as well as Pawboost.com and Petharbor. exist solely to get both LOST and FOUND dogs and cats back home. Lostmydoggie also shares your posts with veterinary hospitals and shelters, so that's added publicity. The more, the better. Make fliers if you can and post them all around the neighborhood where you found this beautiful girl. While you're out walking, knock on people's doors, pictures/fliers in hand, to see if anyone recognizes her. If you can, take her to a vet for a free microchip scan. I assume that she was not wearing a collar. Chipping and having a collar on your dog at all times, with license and owner ID tag are the two most important things that pet parents should do as soon as they adopt. That's why shelters, and I'm sure, fosters also, always ensure that dogs and cats are chipped before they let the owners adopt. I hope this beauty will be home very soon. Thanks for caring for - and about - her. Sharing now.

Michelle Lopez I hope you find your pup soon. Please try these 12 suggestions: - Check shelters at least 100 miles from your home DAILY (finders commute and can sometimes take pets out of the area they live and travel with them many miles away), in person, if possible; also ask to see dogs in isolation too! - Post online with: ring, shadow app, Nextdoor.com, craigslist.com, Pawboost.com, LostMyDoggie.com, Petharbor.com, HelpingLostPets.com, Californialostdogs.com, Findingfido.com, and Findingrover.com -Check nearby homeless encampments and leave fliers with them - Check shelter's websites as well and visit/download the app for petharbor.com to see all shelter and rescued pets - File a lost report with the shelters in your area and surrounding area shelters (You can do it online on the website for Los Angeles animal services or the nearest agency to your home) - Take a fliers to the shelters and to businesses near location where pet went missing - Place his/her bedding, a piece of your unwashed clothing and a bowl of water (no food) in your front yard. He/she may be able to pick up the scent and find his/her way home - If he/she is microchipped, immediately contact the microchip company to report him/her lost, and update your contact information - Hang fliers (use a bright color board or paper) with your dog's picture in your neighborhood, surrounding areas, local shopping centers, businesses, vet's offices, groomers, etc. within a five mile radius from your home - Go door to door with the fliers as well and try to speak with people when handing them out - Make a sign with his/her picture and put it in your front yard stating he/she is missing - Post on area "lost and found pet" and community Facebook pages, area shelter Facebook pages, and newspapers, 5mile, offerup, and other 'for-sale' sites - Check the sites above for found pets and pets for sale - You can also make bumper stickers/magnets to put on your car and hand them out for others to put in their cars.
