Turn the trap upside down. The trip
Plate will now be on the ceiling. Use cardboard on the new trap floor. Place food at midway point of trap. Place a full bottle of water near trap entrance.
Let kitty and or other cats eat the special bait door from
The trap with no risk of it tripping. Do this throughout the day and night. Rebait as needed. You want kitty to see other cats eating inside trap
Without it tripping and you want kitty to
Learn to trust the safety of the trap. Once you know kitty will enter the trap and you can watch the trap, return trap to the correct position with trip plate on trap floor. Line bottom with cardboard. Tie long string or fishing line to water bottle and prop open trap door with the full wster bottle. When correct cat fully enters the trap, pull the water bottle toward you and away from trap. Trap door will close and you’ve got your cat.
