Message from Owner

Lost my sweet Bubba, he is an indoor cat and sometimes likes to go outside and lay down and watch the birds if I leave the sliding door open. He is harmless and very affectionate. If I close the sliding door while he is out there he will most likely hiding somewhere or scratch at the door. Most likely hiding somewhere if he got scared of something outside. He is like a best friend to me. Please bring him back if you find him. He is my first cat and I’ve had him for 3 years now after adopted from the humane society. I know he would rather be inside around me than anything else in life (dog like personality).

Please file a missing cat report with the Virginia Beach animal shelter. If the cat is chipped, please make sure the registry has your correct contact information. Walk around your yard with a flashlight and a bag of kitty treats after 10 PM tonight. Shake the bag of kitty treats and call your cats’s name. Look in the bushes to see if you see your cat hiding. Check the shelter to see if your cat has been found and brought in. Print flyers with your cat picture and your contact information and take around to your neighbors asking them to call you if they see your cat. Ask your neighbors if they’ve been in their shed out building a garage since your cat has been missing. Cats go in those places to hide. You cannot hear a cat crying to get out unless you’re standing right next to the structure.
