Leave the door or window a bit open for her to get back in and leave her food and your clothes nearby

Thank you guys 💔 She is an indoor/outdoor cat that never wanders far from our yard. I’m worried the storms/fireworks may have spooked her beyond where she knows. I’m worried something bigger may have gotten her .. just really hard not knowing😭 We have placed clothing and food out, I’ve been keeping my garage open enough for her to get in, posted on every Facebook page Pawboost and Nextdoor, have walked around my block morning, noon and night with food … anything I can. Thank you all so much for your tips and well wishes. Praying if nothing else someone has found her and is keeping her safe💔 please don’t hesitate to reach out to me! Our family misses her so much. So so much😭

Place clothing you have worn outside so kitty picks up your scent.

Keep a close daily check on your local county animal services website, under their Found Pets section. Hopefully, the cat has a microchip that will help a lot too.

Go around late at night calling them with food and flashlight to catch their eyes. Check around your neighborhood under houses and in small places where they may hide. Put stuff out that has yours and their scent on it. Hang flyers around for people to see. Check shelters and vets daily. Update chip info if they have a chip and its has not been update since a move. Ask neighbors to check in their garages incase they ended up trapped in one. I pray you get your baby back safe and soon.

You might try a live trap, they are fairly cheap on amazon, my Jane wanted to come back but was too overwhelmed and scared, she had made a home under a backyard shed across the street and wouldnt let anyone near her. I saw she kept coming around the doors at night and if i didnt have other pets, i would have left the door cracked and that may have solved it. Eventually she was found eating hamburger in the trap on my front porch and all was right again. It took about 3 weeks for her to show up and i did have to release squirrels and possums along the way which were easy. Tuna in oil also makes a lot of scent. Make sure there's water too. If its cold out, wrap the trap in a blanket and make sure to check it often, check it often no matter what the weather is. In fact, best to keep a camera on it. I believe in Jane's case, the live trap was her only chance. Best of luck and a swift resolve for you I hope
