Message from Owner

Charlie is brand new to our home. She snuck out the back door. We spotted her but she got spooked and ran. We need her back home with us.

Shared with high hopes for a safe, fast return home. I know everyone that has gone thru this offers advice and I also have some to add. Constantly call out their name day and night. They may be hiding close by but to afraid to move. Hearing your voice and from the direction your voice is coming from. may help to guide her home. This part was huge for us when our cat got spooked on the 4th a few years back and was gone 54 days. Get a trap and put food in it every night. If your able to watch the trap without being seen or heard, you can wave away other animals that want a freebie. We did that religiously for a few nights and finally got him. Put up flyers and check areas like garages/sheds where she can hide without being noticed. Please keep us updated!

Adrienne Acker just curious as to why? It didn't sound like they don't want the kitty since they just got her. Or are you implying they didn't take proper care and that is why the baby got out? I'm pretty sure the owner said it was an accident. I have a cat that tries to run out every single night when I let my dogs out. It's a constant battle and sometimes he is so fast and being a black cat, I don't even see him make it past me. He only goes around to the front and jumps up into the porch but I can understand how these things can happen.

Do not put out the litter box. I wish people would stop recommending that.
