Please please take to a nearby vet and have scan for a microchip don't go by hearsay.Many times it can be a very similar dog but not the same one.Whatever you do please get proof of ownership and the owner needs to be reported to Sac County animal control for animal welfare check..Ask if they need to surrender they're obviously not keeping it in. Would even hold for the 4th of July. If it's already been out And same dog as the commenter states. It will be out again guarantee you I'm sure it's been out many times that you don't know of

Require proof of ownership. File online found reports with shelters. Post on Nextdoor and post flyers. Take by vet to scan for chip.

This dog lives on Mt Hood Ct. I found him last week and was able to locate his owner.
