Thank you for helping this cat. Please try HumaneColorado.org. They will not turn him away. Aurora Animal Shelter will certainly euthanize if he seems at all sick. At least he'd have chance at HumaneColo. Maybe he has a microchip?

DFL will only euthanize in the event an animal is beyond rehabilitation, which is a really extreme end of the spectrum. I used to volunteer there in surgical services.

My fear is that the Aurora Shelter will euthanize if he's ill. Try True Companions Animal Sanctuary (formerly Max Fund) as they are no . I know they are a longer drive, but then you can rest assured that he will be cared for. I'm not sure about Humane Colorado (formerly Denver Dumb Friends League). I "think" they will treat a sick animal and then rehome, but they aren't a no shelter. Others options are Cat Care Society, Rocky Mountain Feline Rescue, Angels with Paws.
