go outside with an opened can of tuna or wet cat food late at night after traffic dies down and very early in the morning before traffic begins. Walk slowly around your house and neighboring properties softly calling your kitty. I did this for several days and on the fourth day saw my kitty sitting under a bush several houses away. I continued to slowly walk towards him saying his name softly so not to startle him. Do this and do not give up.
