Post flyers and hand out flyers all over the area! Include picture(s), description, your contact info, and tell people not to chase or approach your dog (they are in flight or fight mode). If he/she is microchipped, please report them lost with the microchip company and make sure it’s registered with your current/correct info. Some key points were: - Don’t approach or chase - your dog is not the same dog when it’s lost; it’s in fight or flight mode - Don’t look all over town/the area, this just spreads your scent all over the place - Stay where the dog got out (in his case, Lee waited in his car all night where the dog went missing and the dog came back after several hours) - Put up and hand out flyers (and tell people not to chase or engage the dog) - If your dog is microchipped, report them lost with the microchip company (and make sure your contact info is up to date!) Also report them lost with animal control, veterinarians, rescues, and shelters in the area. Please correctly identify the pups coat coloration. Is it a tan or brown with brindle(black stripes)? There isn’t a recognized “Wild boar” color for dachshunds. Good luck finding your pup.🤗

Megan Garofalo Leave out some water and actively go around calling his name in an upbeat manner and maybe go where you left him and lay on the ground and call for him like you are playing. I'm so worried about him! He looks just like my baby who is 7. If you can reach out to someone who can maybe set up a trap! Get some really strong smelling food to leave out too!
