This cat came into our neighborhood over a week ago. It was wearing a tan flea collar and is very friendly, seemingly lost. The neighbors were providing food and water when possible. The cat was transported to the San Jose Animal Care Center (2750 Monterey Road) and scanned for a microchip - none was found. The cat is currently on "Stray Wait" status identification number A1403656 with another photo and details on their Pet Compass page linked as follows:

Please post flyers in the area where you trapped the cat. The cat may simply have been walking its territory. Not everyone is on social media, so it is helpful to have signage posted.
