Shared. Cats roam more at night. Use a flashlight n look for its eyes. Shake treat bag around bushes and hiding places often. Check inside all closed doors including neighbors

Did you ever find him ? Very sorry it happened. Is he an indoor cat? Microchipped? These sad stories are so depressing, far outnumber the few happy endings. I’m going through my own cat now but for different reasons. Mine was taken to a rescue without my permission and consent and I couldn’t get her back . She was eventually adopted out to strangers

Escaped cats do not go far. They stay somewhere very close by hiding. Leave the door cracked open that it escaped from- that has worked for several. Don’t leave food or litter out because it will only attract other critters. Look for its eyes at night with a flashlight. Listen at night- that’s mostly when cats will try to return.
