OMGOSH YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!! 🙌 💖🐯💜Dear Guardian, May I gently suggest investing in a pet TRACKER - for your peace of mind & of course your sweet furry baby’s safety; along with Breakaway Collar + ID TAG. Remove any bells. Also be sure Kitty’s MICROCHIP is registered and UP TO DATE - you can get the # from your vet then look up which company on AAHA.org Enter the chip # and then call the chip company that comes up💖🐯💜 Please let me know if you find anything better than what I've listed below 🙏 ⭐️ PET ID TAG ⭐️ I LOVE these silent stretchy TAGs which slip onto the collar along with ‘Airtag’ or ‘Tile’ or ‘Tractive GPS tracker’. Add your cat’s Name and phone or “LOST” and phone number 1.CAT ID Tags, Personalized - Silicone Slide-On Band & Stainless Steel Name Plate → https://a.co/d/4a0rpRW 2. Silicon Rubber Stretch ID tag https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07HFHGQZH/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1 (Tip: TRIM the Width top & bottom so it's thinner) . ⭐️TRACKERS⭐️ 1a. APPLE AIR TAG $29 (IPHONE USERS) for Indoor only and limited access Indoor/Outdoor cats: https://a.co/d/4qaZMZ1All of my 8 cats wear the air tag which is effective for finding kitty within 100-150 feet. Battery lasts about a year (easy to replace) and you use your phone for exact pin point directions. Apple airtag trackers work well enough for most indoor only cats that will remain near if they get outside. They also work well for cats with limited backyard access. 7 of my 8 indoor only SHY cats wear these vs the GPS tracker because they’ve proven they do NOT like to explore past our enclosed yard and prefer the safety of home …since they are skittish with people - no one will ever be able to Read the phone numbers on their collars.. so that’s why a tracker is needed. The airtag tracker does not work at night and sometimes during the day glitches and says kitty is somewhere far (when kitty is right in front of me) then 10 minutes later I’ll see it correctly says that kitty is 5 feet away from me. So just know this technology is not perfect but worth getting at the very least if you don’t buy the dependable GPS tracker. 1b. AIR TAG COLLAR HOLDER (fits the Airtag inside smoothly on the collar - , DOESN’T DANGLE ) https://a.co/cteUFcy 2 TILE STICKER $35 comes with non-dangling tile holder https://www.tile.com/product/tile-for-cats-white?utm_medium=tile_email&utm_source=braze&utm_campaign=name_20230524_TileforCats_Email~id_febe1c31-4755-4763-91b3-01ec1b2300bd~variant-name_Tile+Store~variant-id_e707bd4d-a791-467f-b0e0-4ecef610892d&utm_content= 3.TRACTIVE GPS TRACKER (Indoor/Outdoor cats) comes with a HOLDER that slips onto any collar: https://tractive.com/en/pd/gps-tracker-cat?edition=without-collar&shopCountry=US&gclid=Cj0KCQjwz7uRBhDRARIsAFqjulm_Ez8TliOEE7IQq69akJJrXA4buD00ZvBntMJLdVdq9FvUi7VuwKAaAjxgEALw_wcB FOR about $50 and a monthly subscription fee $8-13 - the cost is worth every dollar for peace of mind. My cat 'Chilly' wears this one because she is a fence jumper and I don’t want to have a heart attack if she ever slips out! NOTE: For ‘Chilly’ I have both the Tractive and Airtag since I have to charge the GPS tracker every few days I like knowing she is at least wearing the airtag at all times. Having to charge this tracker for a few hours every every 4 days - is a pain but the best GPS tracker I could find (and smallest even though it’s not small) …Please let me know if I’ve missed a new better product! ⭐️ BREAKAWAY COLLARS ⭐️ REMOVE ANY BELLS + ‘CHARMS’ 😬 to prevent potential predators from hearing kitty! 1. BEST OVERALL: Adorable BOW Tie BREAKAWAY collars (they don’t falll off easily) male/female various colors: soft material (You can cut off the bow if you prefer though i think they are adorable on either gender. Add an ID TAG with name / phone # and a TRACKER like an Airtag or Tile --> https://a.co/d/glAqsNI red: https://a.co/d/0wOYWpL 2. ‘Dingo’ Classic Breakaway collars - various colors: https://a.co/d/h1ZpJ Re IMPORTANT: Remove BELL using pliers!, ADD ID TAG and TRACKER

Place water bowls around the premises - tell your neighbors to put water bowl out too - if kitty is injured and unable to jump back over a fence - water is important for all lost/stray cats that are most active at night ❤️

🐱💖RECENT reunited INDOOR / OUTDOOR cat cases I was involved with - and why you must cover all possibilities🙏 🐱 Lost cat 'PRETO' INDOOR/OUTDOOR cat - was found 1 week later - trapped in a garage, inside a HOLE going under the garage. His guardians each night would walk around very slowly calling for him in a CALM, NORMAL voice. They crinkled his treat bag and kept calling calmly. He finally meowed after 7 nights - after the 400th call!!! 🐱 LOST cat ‘Squirrel’ (Indoor/outdoor) was found on night 13 hiding disorientated inside the front stair deck of a neighbor’s home. The guardians had shined a flashlight there every night and this time ‘Squirrel’ was there! He did not meow when his guardian’s called… 🐱Lost cat ‘Hugo’ indoor/outdoor was found 2 backyards away after 2 weeks, a bit confused and disorientated. His guardian Ann was calling for him walking in the connected backyards each night and she found him where she’d looked many times before. You just never know! Try again and again 🐱 Lost cat 'Tazzy' was found stuck under a neighbor's house for 3 weeks! he did not meow - the guardians searched with a flashlight to catch the reflection of his eyes! he fully recovered - amazing! 🐱Lost cat ‘Blue’’ was spotted by a neighbor who I had spoken to in person and given a flyer - this was 4 weeks later! 🐱Lost cat ‘Bella’ was spotted by a neighbor on a RING CAMERA and called because he saw a FLYER on the lamppost - 6 weeks later! 💜Cover all possibilities; FLYER Door to door, talk to your neighbors. Post up flyers, Search and call for kitty at night in a calm voice..Stay strong. Don’t give up! 🐱💜🙏

TONIGHT (when it’s still early and Quiet) Go out and CALL For kitty in a very calm, NORMAL voice, with zero` stress in your voice, and if your kitty likes the sound of crinkling a treat bag or opening a can of food then try that...call for your sweet kitty for 30 minutes straight - listen for faint meows nearby in case kitty is stuck unable to get back (though many cats will NOT meow for fear of predators knowing their location) Walk around very slowly calling for kitty .... Be patient - many cats accidentally get trapped when neighbors leave town..keep trying. —- 💜🙏 Dear guardian. I'm so sorry your sweet Indoor/Outdoor kitty is missing. Kitty could be STUCK / TRAPPED at a neighbors unable to get back (OR GOT spooked and is hiding nearby) and why you must take action in several ways in order to cover ALL possibilities - ESPECIALLY in person – with the neighbors on your block to start. 🐱 Taking ACTION IN PERSON is CRITICAL: 🐱 Leave a WAY BACK INSIDE for kitty to sneak inside in case kitty is now stuck in a garage and gets released… 💥TONIGHT - Set your alarm for 1AM, 3AM, 5AM and WALK AROUND VERY SLOWLY calling for kitty in your NORMAL, CALM voice...shake/crinkle the treat bag or shake kitty’s favorite noisy toy. Many cats come out of hiding during these late hours(or you can hear meows if trapped in your next door neighbors garage or backyard for example though many cats will Not meow if stuck) Be Patient. Scared cats are the best hiders. 🐱ASK NEIGHBORS to check their RING CAMERA and to add a missing cat alert. 🐱 GAIN ACCESS TO YOUR NEIGHBORS YARDS: Get permission for YOU to check their yards physically -.explain kitty will hide from strangers and it's best for you to check anywhere kitty could be hiding, under a crawl space or deck (Use a flashlight to catch the reflection of kitty’s eyes. They are silent hiders. Sometimes you have to check more than ONCE in the same yard...https://drive.google.com/.../10I.../view... 🐱 Neighbors will NOT do anything if they see a cat outside, UNLESS they know your cat is missing and have your number! 🐱 PRINT 150+ FLYERS ASAP to give your neighbors door to door and also post up around your block + neighborhood. KNOCK ON YOUR NEIGHBORS DOORS starting with your block. POST UP FLYERS on both sides of street lamps in ‘clear sheet protectors’ with the opening facing DOWN so the weather doesn’t ruin them. Google “Protective Sheet Covers”. You can purchase on amazon or any office supply. To save time place ONLINE order of FLYERS at your nearest FEDEX PRINT STORE for pick up, Even if they’re closed. Call once open , asking if they can PRINT right away. They will usually expedite the order. NOTE: Fedex also sells sheet protectors, packing tape + duct tape for posting Flyers on lampposts and blue ‘painters tape’ for taping flyers onto front doors or ON Mailboxes without causing any damage. 🐱Download a Flyer ‘template’ from www HappyCatLady com. Offer a reward for a PHOTO of your kitty to encourage neighbors call if they spot kitty instead of approaching kitty 🐱 Spreading the word IN PERSON is Critical in spotting kitty. MOST who are on Facebook and Nextdoor.com don’t get notifications so you MUST go door to door in person, circle your block and across the street to start - make sure every neighbor knows about kitty . Ask neighbors to take a photo and call if they see kitty and NOT to approach. ASK neighbors to check their yards / garages /sheds, roofs, storage units, crawl spaces. Kitty could be trapped (happens all the time!) The goal is to TALK to as many neighbors IN PERSON as possible. Talking to neighbors dramatically increases the chances of your cat being spotted or discovered Stuck, talking engages people to care and to actively search 🐱 PRINT OUT A GOOGLE MAP OF YOUR BLOCK with address #s showing and take notes which neighbors were home you spoke to and which homes to try again later if no one answers. Keep trying to catch neighbors in person later that day and the next day/s. Talk to residence around your block and across the street. Without a printed map, it's easy to get mixed up when you're stressing out.(see example ). https://drive.google.com/.../1ZDSAf2ky52.../view… 🐱 APARTMENT BUILDINGS: For distributing flyers, I ring bells and talk to folks and/or at least get inside the building so I can leave a flyer In front of every door step. If not an option then tape flyers onto the top and bottom of EACH mail box! You want to cover all possibilities. MAILBOXES EXAMPLE _ FLYERING https://drive.google.com/.../1pQTHFCYD.../view… 💥 IMPORTANT 💥If your kitty accidentally got out into a NEW, FOREIGN LOCATION, THEN PLACE A CAMERA (motion activated with night vision) AIMED at WET food bowl and water (before each SUNSET) you leave by the open escape door or just inside the garage door left open 5” (if kitty got out from the front and you have a garage) you can't believe how many times a cat will return home - eat - but has no way of getting back inside OR kitty just WILL NOT go back inside the house because kitty is spooked , in survival mode. WHen you observe kitty on camera coming to the food BUT continuing to HIDE FROM YOU, THEN RENT OR BORROW A HUMANE TRAP (raccoons LOVE dry cat food so only offer WET). NOTE: You must monitor the trap every second it is set or you could cause harm to your cat. 💥💥BUY CAMERA: Mini Blink WIFI camera $35 : https://a.co/ihc7BSy OR WYZE WIFI Waterproof Camera $29: https://a.co/d/4assVvK (must also get a Micro SD Memory Card to record without subscription: https://a.co/d/44AXvel) OR Blink Waterproof CORDLESS camera $64: https://a.co/d/cDeKLXz IF NO WIFI: Wildlife/Trail camera (battery operated) check footage manually daily https://a.co/d/gWTQ4wq , requires 8 AA lithium batteries (buy extra) + Micro SD Memory Cards: https://a.co/d/44AXvel 🐱 DON’T GIVE UP🙏 Every day I get texts from cat guardians whose cats were stuck in a shed, under a neighbor’s garage, on a rooftop, inside a storage space or that a neighbor heard a meow in their yard at night. Each cat is different. Return to those addresses if no one was home when you knocked. Keep track on a map which neighbors weren’t home to return to - kitty COULD have gotten trapped on their residence, before leaving town so talking to every single neighbor is critical.. Sometimes you have to check the same spot 3 times! → https://drive.google.com/file/d/10I_aHnjJ9rX6rYbGi6v7AWUTJVqggIxD/view?usp=sharing ONLINE: 🐱 Post on www.Nextdoor com in your neighborhood with address range. EXAMPLE 100-150 kitty Ave. NEXTDOOR INVITE: https://nextdoor.com/invite/tlpjrfjfsfzzypgctspp 🐱Report to Animal Care & control - your local animal shelter/s + Check for FOUND cats online daily and IN PERSON WEEKY 💜🐱 Call your cat’s MICROCHIP company to report kitty LOST - make sure kitty’s chip is registered with your current contact info 💜🐱 Cover ALL possibilities. Take action every day/night. Sending you Love and unwavering determination. 💜🐱damia foti 650-339-6619 ( www.happycatlady.com) 🐯 SEE BELOW example of taking notes on map as I went door to door. F = flyered (not home) Added names I spoke to in person - the goal is to talk to everyone to best engage neighbors - ask them to check RING cameras, search garage, storage, sheds and to CALL if think they see kitty (and take a photo) Keeping track on a map is a HUGE HELP - I return days later to remind folks to keep looking! 🐱LINK TO PDF OF LOST CAT FLYER / GOOGLE MAP GRAPHIC EXAMPLE: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1cYfhp2o-m2C_OKPvdEriHZxYscDmeL5U/view?usp=sharing

Flyer door to door - most likely no one on pawboost lives on your block or is seeing this - i'm so sorry for the stress and worry your outdoor kitty is missing. Lost cat tazzy was under the neighbor's house for 3 weeks before the guardian's asked permission to check the neighbor's crawlspace and used a flashlight and caught tazzy's EYE REFLECTION. Tazzy did not meow the whole time they were calling for her every night as they walked around. You must knock on doors every single door circling your block to start then expand out 1 block at a time. If neighbor isn't home then TAPE the flyer onto the front door (of every apt /residence) using painter's tape (won't harm the door) so that folks are aware to check sheds and open garages etc. ASK neighbors who have RING cameras to check footage from when kitty went missing and nightly for night activity. Post Flyers on both sides of every lamppost 2 blocks out in all directions. Don't rely on anyone to see anything online. I've been helping guardians find their lost cats for over 6 years now and online is 'extra' help but in person flyering and talking to neighbors and searching and calling for your cat especially AT NIGHT when it's quiet - and posting up FLYERS and large signs are key. sending you love and determination and hope! ❤️ damia
