The late night walk with a torch is how many have found their lost cats - please start doing this asap. Also and distributing flyers, doorknocking. Also check cctv in the area. And see if anyone has gone away in the surrounding area in case puss has been accidentally locked in their house or shed. Put out unwashed laundry around the home, never the litter! Cats that escape are usually close but scared (or trapped in someone’s shed or garage). Go out very late at night and call softly and calmly. Then listen carefully. Shake treats, tap a can, whatever normally makes them come running to you. Use a flashlight to look into bushes and under patios at night. Many cats come back around the house in the middle of the of the night so cameras help! Also, posters! Taped up as well as hand-delivered to neighbours… nothing beats having more eyes out in the area they escaped from! (And not everyone is on Social Media!!) Good luck and don’t give up hope 🍀 🤞🏻💕 Indoor cats that get out go into “survival mode” so don’t be alarmed if they aren’t acting like themselves at first :)

Have read that by putting out some of your worn clothing they might find there way home by scent🤞make sure microchip details up to date . Ask neighbours to check all locked garages, sheds and cellars. Post on local web sites too. Sharing
