Chip is a really friendly guy and quite nosey. He lost his collar 2 days ago and could have been mistaken as homeless. He is very loved and we miss him so much. He has been missing for 24 hours as of 6/5/26. If you see him please call him by his name and call or text us at or Thank You, The Ryan Family

Please check nearby storm drains and sewer pipes. Vehicle engines and tire wells. Attics, closets, vents, and bats. Garages and sheds. Bushes and trees. Under buildings and porches. Search outside at dawn and dusk when it's quiet. Using a flashlight may help. Set outside your old clothes so Chip may detect a familiar scent. Good luck.

You must be very worried. Stay strong! Respectfully, some are suggesting putting a litter box, food, or catnip out. The problem is predators and aggressive Tom cats will be attracted to these things and could scare your cat further away. There are many reputable sources that use research that have found this to be the case. Your cat will be attracted to your smell. Put used sheets or clothing where the cat exited, or near an entry area to your home. Below are some additional suggestions: Lost Cats: Inside only cats rarely go far. They go into survival mode and hide in silence. Most of them will not respond when they are in survival mode. 3 AM/early morning is the best time to find a missing indoor only cat. This is the time they become most active and responsive. Sit and quietly call for your kitty. Try to stay low, standing is intimidating to cats. Place some dirty socks and pillow cases, etc. outside near where they exited. Your scent will attract your kitty. If you have a garage, place the items near the garage door and crack the door enough for them to get in. DO NOT leave food or litter box outside, it can attract predators and aggressive Tom cats. Because indoor only cats hide so well they are not as likely to be ed by a predator. Don't give up, it can take time to find a missing indoor only cat. Use a flashlight as late at night as you can to look in trees, under cars and in bushes. Try to look for the glow of her eyes. The best chance of you being reunited with your cat is to do a methodical search of the area. Most indoor only cats will be within 160 feet of your home. Survival mode lasts 5 to 14 days but can last longer. Once their hunger gets to a maximum they snap out of it but this is a dangerous time because they come out of hiding. The majority of cats will try to make a break for home on the 5th night. In addition make mini flyers and hand them out to your neighbors. Some people don't pay attention to posted flyers. If you know your neighbors, ask if you can go in their backyard and look around or check in their shed, garage, etc. Look around the air conditioners. Asking others to look for you doesn’t always work. People don’t follow through. It's VERY VERY important that you look as late at night as you can. If you have other animals, watch them. If they are spending a lot of time looking out a certain window, that’s a good indication the missing cat is in that area. Wildlife and motion activated cameras are also helpful. Many people are successful trapping their indoor only cats. If you decide to trap, you must watch the trap closely. Some people have had good luck with pet drone rescue businesses. Contact local shelters and the humane society. Ask your mail carrier to be on the lookout. Good luck.😻

If chipped contact you company and make sure your information is updated and file a lost cat report there Some people suggest leaving a door open alittle bit may come home on there own Put something with scent there also Bedding your unwashed clothing Litter box anything that has your cats scent Cats are night creatures May try to come home early morning while dark and try to get back inside This works well Go outside and sit down on the ground so she can see your face not feet and calmly call name If likes treats shake bag and listen for meowing could be stuck in a garage or shed or under porches Check out the neighbors and let them know that your kitty is missing Check out the shelters in person and take a flyer or photo there also If all else fails put out a HUMANE trap then with wet food or tuna and cover with a towel to keep calm and warm if caught and check it out every 2hours and don't leave overnight unattended You can face the entrance of the trap towards a window or door to keep a better eye on it Prayers sent 🙏

Here are a few things you can try. Cats usually don’t go far. They just hide well. Cats are very active at dusk and dawn. So first of all you can go out and call for him. You can put his food/water, and lots of cat nip outside your house to help draw him back. Also, put your cat's bedding that has your cat's scent on it outside to attract your cat back to your home. Also putting your own unwashed clothes or bedding out . Cats run on scent and this is highly effective in luring your cat back home .PetMD backs this up, can help lure the cat back home, as it's a comfortable and familiar smell. Shake the treat/food container outside. Check garages, especially under porches and decks, dense bushes, etc. Get one of those strong flashlights they will catch a cat's reflective eyes two blocks away and save you tons of time!!! Do not leave the food out overnight as it will attract other animals that can scare the kitty away. Go to your neighbors and let them know your kitty got out and give them your contact info. Walk your neighborhood and talk to people as you can. Take a flyer TO your local vets office and shelter a face is better than a thousand words of description and check every couple of days in person if possible Sometimes it can take weeks or months to find your kitty. Also post with Pawboost and Sam the Parrot about your missing cat. Many times cats are found within a couple hundred feet of their homes. Post fliers around your neighborhood with your phone number that people can call day or night. And talk to your mail carrier. They see lots of animals. If they see a strange kitty around, they may recognize it as yours. Make sure you call local animal shelters, etc Best time to look is between 1-6AM Get a humane trap ASAP! This it's the best chance at retrieving your cat. Line it with newspaper. The ONLY food you leave out should be in that trap. Do not leave the trap set for long periods of time unattended, especially overnight. The most importantly do not give up hope! Open your garage door a little. Don’t put the litter box out. 🙏🏻Also take a flashlight out at night and look in and under things to see if you can see the kitty’s eyes.
