I do TNR. Here's my advice for trapping a hard to trap cat. Some cats are afraid to enter a trap. Sometimes if you cover the trap and leave only the entrance open, they're more comfortable with eating from the trap. It depends on the cat of course. Tie the trap open and start putting the yummiest, stinkiest food that you can find on a very small paper plate or a paper bag at the entrance of the trap. Put it just a little ways in. You want the cat to trust the trap. Each day at the same time put the food in the trap but push it a little further back. Eventually you'll be able to push the food all the way to the back and untie the trap. I use sardines, tuna or very warm rotisserie chicken. I'll put tiny pieces around the trap to entice the cat. I wish you much luck in trapping your fur baby. I can only imagine how upset you are. Sending prayers to God and Saint Francis. Hugs <3
