Update 3/3- Our Callie is still missing. There was a sighting about week & a half ago of an all black cat in Randal Park near the woods at the back of the neighborhood. When we went to look, we did not see her or any kitty 🥺 We do believe she is still out there and are hopeful she will come home to us. She does have her left ear clipped and could be confused as an outdoor kitty. Please continue sharing her picture and reaching out if you have any sightings. 🖤

Miki Wallace, I know just how difficult this is, but I remain hopeful. Have you learned whether anyone nearby feeds cats outside and may have inadvertently lured Callie away? Black cats are notorious for remaining very close to home, however, so if you continue trying you may find just the right spot where she feels safe emerging at night for food. Please keep me updated on your efforts. I hope they're rewarded with a reunion very soon.

Diana Ellis we are trying everything to figure out where she could be and see if anyone has seen her. We put up more flyers tonight and spoke to some Neighbors. We will continue strategies we had in place and continue going door to door tomorrow ❤️ it’s been a complete rollercoaster of emotions and we are emotionally exhausted but we would never give up looking until our Callie is home safe with us

Miki Wallace, I know you have so many posts going -- which is good -- but because this is the thread on which I've been commenting I will continue. I understand the poor deceased cat was not Callie and I'm so sorry for that kitty but glad for you. Although it's possible for a cat to hide in a vehicle (to escape the cold, for example) and be transported accidentally, I didn't think Callie would get that far. I still believe the strategies I shared can be successful. If you can identify a place where Callie has found food, or lure her to a safe and quiet place to eat overnight, you can get her back inside. I know after what's happened over the last few days you're probably distressed, but please don't lose hope!
