My parents have experience with small senior dogs. They Also have Experience with medically fragile, deaf, blind, and paralyzed dogs. They are medical fosters for another shelter. Their dogs of 16 years passed recently and they are looking to take in another. If y’all need a foster or adoptive home, please reach out!

Sad Update: Thank you to everyone that reached out offering suggestions or to foster/adpot. This little lady was not chipped and door to door visits, postings on local Facebook & Nextdoor groups, pawboost, contacting humane society, etc. turned up no owners. She was pretty feeble. We connected with a very loving furever home option for her, experienced with elderly dogs & dachshunds. Unfortunately she had an extreme episode on their car ride home that warranted detouring to the emergency vet (instead of her planned Monday vet exam). There was no improvement with IVs & the vet discovered a deep internal ear wound & that her little body was littered internally with maggots. The vet determined euthanasia was the only option given the severity of her issues. Thanks to my brother & sister in law for feeding and loving on her, and giving her a warm bed out of the rain her last couple of days. And a very special thanks to the great people who were so excited to give her a new home & family to finish out her life, it just ended much sooner than we’d hoped. ❤️ They also own Four Seasons Pet Salon, if you need mobile pet grooming in the Hendersonville area look them up. https://www.fourseasonspetsalon.com/
