Message from Owner

My pet was being watched by a friend when the backyard gate got opened and he has been gone ever since. I made flyers but have not heard anything and went into a depression. Onyx was the heart and soul of my life. We have been each others only partner for 4 years after getting him as a puppy. I will be broken forever without him or at least some closure. Thank you with all my heart for everyone’s help and prayers.

~~~Give a copy of the picture with information to the mailman in the area… They encounter many people & situation… Put a sign with information & picture in your front yard if you can & @ stop signs… For found animals Please take him to check for a microchip it’s free @ any Vet,Pet store etc. … Always get your animal microchipped, it gives a better chance of being reunited… There is always the possibility that a neighbor may have taken your “Fur~Baby” in thinking it was abandoned… Report any animal missing or found to your local dog pound… PetCo has free software that uses photo recognition to match your photo to photos from rescues and shelters…
Post on NextDoor and neighbors.ring, hang bilingual flyers, and put out articles of unwashed clothing and the pet’s bed. Ask neighbors to check their Ring cameras, garages, and sheds. Check shelters in person. If not already done, have your pet microchipped as soon as you’re reunited. If already chipped, call the microchip company to report pet lost and make sure your contact information is correct. Report lost on 24petconnect. If someone posts “We found” and asks for your phone number, don’t respond; it’s a scam. Same if they want to send you a code. Beware of sites people recommend that find lost pets; many are scammers
Was he lost or stolen? Check all neighborhood cameras. Post him in your county shelter app. Broward County Animal Care and Adoption Center website. Check this website 2x daily. Alert police. Also post him on the Nextdoor app. Hang fliers in ziplocks in a 3 mile radius in and out of all streets and offer a reward. Dogs often move late night/early morning and sometimes circle back to where they were lost. Leave your backyard gate open. Check canal backs. 🙏
🙏🏼🙏🏼hope you find him soon. Post on Nextdoor and Ring Apps If he is chipped call the company and update your information. Put his pic on your car window and/or your front yard. If someone sees him around complex or neighborhood they might recognize pic. Report / Check daily IN PERSON at Broward County Animal Service and other shelters in case it’s found and taken there. Check Craigslist, Marketplace, OfferUp, Nextdoor every day to ensure nobody is trying to sell your baby.
