Description

Wearing an orange collar w/green alligators all over it. No tag. MALE, not neutered or chipped, 2.5 yr old American Short Haired Tuxedo w/widow’s peak. His name is SOUL MAN. Indoor cat ONLY-he will be TERRIFIED if found. He has ALWAYS been skittish & can be timid, but is also extremely sweet. He’s got a ginormous head and is a pretty solid, healthy cat. He’s got these huge middle ‘gargoyle’ hind claws. He doesn't like to be held. I rescued him when he was itty bitty fr a trucks engine.

Message from Owner

Soul Man is EXTREMELY LOVED & cared for. He is my THERAPY CAT that helps w/my severe depression, anxiety & insomniac issues. I’ve had him since he was the size of my palm. He has a husky sister that adores him & has been crying non stop for his return. I would be extremely devastated if he did not return so PLEASE if you come across him, no matter the time of day, PLEASE DO NOT HESITATE TO CALL ME. I will meet you and pick him up. He CANNOT eat processed foods. I LOVE YOU Soul Man. My heart is HEARTBROKEN not knowing where you are or if you are OK?! Please come back to us! I will NOT give up in finding you. Hopefully you will have stayed outta the damned road and away from the local coyotes! Wherever you are, stay put little dude, Momma is coming to find you! 🥺

Did he escape,or run out of the house? If he did, put a dish, not a can of fishy wet food,or tuna outside near the escape area, put a minicamera pointing at the food, and observe from your devices what animals go up to the food,if you see your cat, set up a humane trap, nearby with the food dish inside, and put the minicamera inside the trap attached from the roof of the trap, positioned pointed down at an angle, choose a minicamera with night vision. You can rent a trap from your local animal shelter,or a Harbor Freight,or a Lewis Rents, a tractor,Fred and supply store. Wyze Cam v4: One of the most popular and affordable options for under $35. It is a tiny cube camera with an IP65 weatherproof rating, color night vision, and two-way audio. You can fasten it magnetically or zip-tie it securely to the top ceiling of the trap. It connects via Wi-Fi.TP-Link Tapo C113 (2K): Priced around $25, this mini bullet camera is compact enough to easily wire or strap to a humane trap's interior. It features 2K resolution, clear IR night vision, and supports local MicroSD storage so you don't require a monthly subscription.Blink Outdoor 4: Priced around $60, this is a fully wireless, battery-operated camera. Because it requires no cords, it's very easy to position inside a larger humane box trap or strap to a tree facing the trap entrance. How to Fasten the CameraZip ties / Cable ties: The easiest method is to run heavy-duty zip ties through the mounting bracket (or the camera's base) and weave them tightly through the wire mesh at the top of the humane trap.Heavy-duty magnets: Both the Wyze Cams and some trail cameras come with strong magnetic bases. You can attach a metal plate to the top of your trap, allowing the camera to snap right into place.Positioning: Point the camera downward so you can observe both the cat food (the bait) and the animal's face as it approaches, helping you identify if it's the target cat, a raccoon, or another skittish animal.Helpful TipsNight Vision Check: Make sure to turn on night vision or IR mode, as most stray and wild animals will approach the food at night.Wi-Fi Strength: Before you leave the trap, test your home Wi-Fi connection right next to the trap to ensure the live feed loads without delay.

Ruth Olafsdottir we just heard a faint MEOW. I know it’s him I’m scouring the neighborhood for him he is def around but has always been skittish. This may sound odd but he’s disabled-he’s autistic. But a beautiful and sweet cat. Thank you so much for you input.

So the POS SCAMMER (there scam info is all over google-CUTHBERTELLIE90@gmail.com) sent an AI pic of Soul Man and of course at 1st glance my heart dropped and my dumb butt rushed w/my husband to “pick him up” and I knew something was off w/the text when the POS started dreaming that I pick Soul Man up “NOW”. And then I realized Soul had a collar on-I asked scammer wtf his collar was?! And Soul would NEVER be this calm in someone else’s car in another car carrier-I assure you and had to remind myself that Soul would have booked it cuz he’s super fast and doesn’t like to be crammed into those cat carriers. And his fur is not the right pattern. MY HUSBAND AND I DID HOWEVER HEAR A FAINT “MEOW” about 30 mins ago. We are staying near the Burbank airport which in itself is SUPER NOISY. And the recent 4th of July definitely scared the frap outta him and he was in heat. So all 3 factors made him take off and he probably DISNT REALIZE he’s lost and doesn’t know how to get back. But we DEFINITELY HEARD HIM MEOW! Wish us luck. I am devastated over him not being in my lap in our presence. If you see him and can’t catch him no matter the time of day or night please DONT HESITATE TO CALL US 213-547-9933 Thank you everyone for your support.

General Information: Set up a scent station. Hang clothes with your scent on it (Worn clothing from owner) high up outside so the familiar scent can travel and guide the cat back home. Ask your neighbors to check their yard/could be accidently stuck in their garage or shed. (If applicable) Check doorbell or home camera - or ask neighbors to check their camera. Post Fliers with a picture of the cat and your contact information in the area the cat went missing. Not everyone is on Social Media and posters have worked in that if spotted a location can be provided. If a cat is scared they make themselves safe by finding a good hiding spot and often times hide in silence. Look in bushes - bring a flashlight and look for shining eyes. Best time to find your cat is in the early morning hours when the noise level is low and they feel safe. Leave an access point open for the cat to return. This is important if they do come back in the middle of the night. Prayers your cat returns/ or is found safely. Beware of scammers.

Lost Cats‼️ Indoor only cats and limited outdoor access cats never go far. They go into survival mode and hide in silence. Most of them will not respond when they are in survival mode. 3 AM is the best time to find a missing indoor only cat. This is the time they become most active and responsive. Sit and quietly call for your kitty. Try to stay low, standing is intimidating to cats. Place some dirty socks and pillow cases outside. Your scent will attract your kitty. If you have a garage, place the items near the garage door and crack the door enough for her to get in. DO NOT leave food or litter box outside, it can attract predators and aggressive Tom cats. Because indoor only cats hide so well they are not as likely to be killed by a predator. Don't give up, it can take months to find a missing indoor only cat. Use a flashlight as late at night as you can to look in trees, under cars and in bushes. Try to look for the glow of her eyes. The best chance of you being reunited with your cat is to do a methodical search of the area. Most indoor only cats will be within 160 feet of your home. Survival mode lasts 5 to 14 days but can last longer. Once their hunger gets to a maximum they can snap out of it but this is a dangerous time because they come out of hiding. The majority of cats will try to make a break for home on the 5th night. In addition to posted flyers, make mini flyers and hand them out to your neighbors. Some people don't pay attention to posted flyers. It's VERY VERY important that you look for her as late at night as you can. If you have other cats, watch them. If they are spending a lot of time looking out a certain window, that’s a good indication the missing cat is in that area. Wildlife and motion activated cameras are also helpful. a lot of people are successful trapping their indoor only cats. If you decide to trap, you must watch the trap closely, predators can a cat in a trap.

So I originally thought it was a person that stopped by my spot asking about the dog park and gave me the heebie jeebies, I stay near a dog park. Hence that person is on camera. I will find out who tf this person is. They have a Toyota and it looks light grey or silver. I promise they will pay for this utterly f***ed up game they are playing. I just want my sick cat. And he is chipped, my husband reminded me so I have to go back and edit Soul Man’s flyer. Thank you everyone for the suggestions and support!
