I did find the dog, but my husband didn’t want me to bring it home, so it was in the backyard at the house where I found the dog, but it slipped out of the collar. It was chipped but the information was 10 years old.

WHEN YOU “FIND” A PET: SOME OF THESE STEPS HAVE ALREADY TAKEN PLACE: If you are unable to house the pet for a short while until the Owner is located, call one of these Animal Protection Services: You will be transferred if the call belongs to another area: 1. Clark County 702-455-7710 2. City of Las Vegas 702-229-6444 then #2 (They often are unable to answer their phone. Ask the dispatcher to take your message and forward it to them.) 3. North Las Vegas (702) 633-9111 Also NOTIFY PawsPatrolLV.org - Text/call: 725-331-3319 or email: pawspatrollv@gmail.com Say the cross streets where the animal was lost or found. If someone contacts PawsPatrolLV, PawsPatrolLV then will be able to get in touch with you. Leave a message. They are volunteers. They do not have the man-power to search for every lost/found animal, however, they are excellent at what they do, are very helpful in Search/Rescue and want to assist the community. Post on Pawboost.com. FREE. Just close out when you come to the “Pay page.” Your “FOUND” post will still go up. Pawboost offers that you can print Flyers to post around your area. Keep checking your posts to see that they have not been removed. You also can handprint some ”FOUND” flyers around your area. NOTIFY The Animal Foundation that you have the pet in case the Owner contacts them. Located: 655 N Mojave Road, Las Vegas, Animal Foundation hours are 11AM-7PM Tuesday-Sunday. Closed Mondays. Call (702) 760-7387 for help! OR: (702) 955-5932 ext. 932 - Or by Email: lostandfound@animalfoundation.com The Animal Foundation is the central clearing house for lost and found pets. The Animal Foundation is the facility to which the Owner first will be directed to search for their pet. The Pet Owner has 72 hours to collect their pet at The Animal Foundation before the pet will be placed for adoption. You can take the pet to any veterinarian of Petsmart to be scanned (free) for a microchip and PawsPatrolLV will come to you to scan the cat at no cost to you.
