Leave some their food and water outside, as well as any of their bedding. Put some of your unwashed clothing outside, draped over a chair or hung in such a way that they can scent locate. Sit outside and have a conversation, so that they might hear your voice... These are the things a dog's keen senses will detect and hopefully bring them home.
