A good list of things to do is on the Toronto Humane Society website, as well as www.catsinthebag.org (Click on the link itself.) Get signs up (not everyone uses fb, and the more eyes looking the better) and file a lost report with Toronto Animal Services and local shelters (and keep checking their listings). Make sure your microchip is registered, and your info is up to date with the company too. And here is some helpful info: https://www.missinganimalresponse.com/lost-cat-behavior/ Post on Neighbourhood/community groups, and be sure to also do a post on the fb group ā€˜Toronto Lost and Found Cats’

Please place his bedding outside, along with the owner's unwashed clothing front and back door with a can of tuna on each entrance, you can leave your garage door a bit open as well. In case it comes in that way. And leaving food there as well. Show your neighbors a picture of the cat. Ten houses to the left ten house to the right front and back if they spot him to give you a call immediately. Go early in the morning and shake treats calling the cats name when things are quiet.. Best of luck finding your kitty šŸ™ ā¤ļø

If you haven’t already, be sure to ask all your neighbors to check their garages, sheds, etc. in case your cat closed inside one! And I trust you have notified both your local PD/Animal Control and local animal shelter and have been checking there daily! Key is to keep calmly calling your cat at all hours, especially the wee hours & looking for it, using a flashlight to help see its eyes…Check all around your house (inside and out) and under everything including greenery & especially in all dark places…Check high and low! Leave a door or a window open enough for your cat to potentially let itself back inside! Put some of your cat’s bedding (or something with its scent on it) as well as some of your clothing with your scent on it outside for your cat to smell, hopefully enticing it to head home! Try opening some smelly food like tuna (do not serve it in the can!) or some rotisserie chicken & shake a food/snacks bag often! šŸ¤žšŸ¼ļæ¼
