Checking neighbors backyard properties is crucial. (Neighbors will not check as thoroughly as you will, or at all, so ask them if you can check) Indoor cats will hide quickly after getting outside. Check under bushes and remember, when afraid, they won’t respond to you calling them. Someone in my area had their cat get out and she found him 3 and a half weeks later only 4 houses away hiding in a backyard under patio furniture. The only reason he was detected was because the lady who lived there happened to look out her window and see him under the table in the backyard and recalled seeing the lost cat notice on our community FB page. -put out (unwashed) cat bed/blankets/your clothes that smell of home -put up posters in your area- important-not everyone is on facebook + if someone sees your cat but cannot find your lost cat post -leave trails of vacuum contents leading to your home -leave a basement window or garage door open enough they can get in.

Put out your worn clothing and his bed / blanket - if he is disoriented, the scent will help him find his way home. Go out in the early hours of the morning and shake the treat bag and call his name quietly. Take a flashlight as his eyes will shine. Crack the garage door and/or house window so he can make his way inside if he comes home. Make posters and flyers and get them up and out asap! Call all the vets and shelters in your area (call shelter daily in case someone takes him in). Post on the Nextdoor app as well to get the word out to more people. Hopefully he is microchipped and someone takes him in to be scanned. Good luck, I hope you find him! 😿

Please place its bedding 🛏 outside, along with the owner's unwashed clothing👚👖 front and back door 🚪with a contents of tuna can 🐟 on each entrance, you can leave your garage door a bit open as well. In case it comes in that way. And leaving food there as well...supervise food outdoors. Also vaccumed home 🧹dirt in a stocking hanging it in front and back of home🏡 enterence . You can also add some catnip 🌱in a stocking hanging by your entrances. Show your neighbors 🖼picture of the🐈 cat. Ten houses to the left ten house to the right front and back if they spot him to give you a call☎️ immediately. Also, you can put up a Sign post 🪧with your 🐱📷 picture. In front of your 🏡lawn and to call you or contact you ASAP. Go early ⏰️ in the ☀️morning and shake treats calling the cats name when things are quiet.. Tell neighbors to check their sheds and garage.Just in case it's trapped.. Also, you can install a camera / Baby monitor 📹 to monitor and see & hear if the cat is around your house 🏡. You can even ask your Local Pet 🐱 Animal Shelter to Rent out a Safe Trap and monitor it.. Please post to the Nextdoor App. 📱 Get more views from local neighbors.
