Lost dog has been roaming my neighborhood the past 2 days. No collar or tags, Male, not neutered. Seems friendly but doesn't want to come close to me. Anyone recognize this dog and maybe knows the owners? North Miami Beach on NE 170th and 19th street next to city hall.

Try to earn his trust by sitting at a distance that he tolerates; don’t look directly at his eyes, talk softly, and toss pieces of food (chicken, Beggin Strips, liverwurst) at a distance between you and him. Put down a bowl of water. Gradually toss the food closer to you until he trusts you and you can loop a leash around his neck and take him to safety. Once this is accomplished, scan for a microchip; ask for proof of ownership. Also post on Nextdoor, 24petconnect, and neighbors.ring. Hang bilingual flyers.
