Description

79lbs. 10 yrs old. Had just been to vet about congestion and nose bleeds. May still be having some nose bleeding. Gentle dog but skittish. Has collar and unfortunately was wearing leash when he took off.

Message from Finder

He was suffering some sever nasel congestion and bad nose bleeds. If still having nosebleeds, may be heavy. Gentle but frightened by noise and sudden movements. Name Stiles but I call him BigFoot (obvious reason).

No contact or reported sightings yet. It is likely that he ran because he senses death approaching. I have known dogs to act very oddly when they are in final stages. My daughter, who he has always been closest with is hiking in the woods near the house tomorrow to see if any signs of him. We'll keep you posted.

Stiles (Bigfoot) has not been reported found yet. From our house on Sandstone Dr, he ran south 1/2 a block and into the woods there. My daughter walked into woods later to a place where he went another time but he wasn't hiding there this time. I drove all around the woods from every road I could get close to the woods calling his names and hoping he would come dragging out of the woods. Thank you for your interest.

He is an old dog and may be facing some cognition issues as well as the current nasal congestion. I just got antibiotics for him and returned home from vet. When i opened the rear hatch, he jumped out before i could grab his leash that was still on from vet visit. He ran into the woods and I couldn't follow him due to my mobility issues. Please advise of any sightings or contact.
