I need help figuring out how to get this bird to go away. It has killed seven of my 12 chickens in the last 24 hours and I am afraid for my miniature poodle to be injured or taken.

Deborah V Marie I very much understand your concern. I truly do. But these animals are protected by federal law.. making it illegal to , hunt, capture or harass them. My daughter lived in Felton. In the forest where big owls loved to pick off chickens on her property. The owner built 4 sided enclosure-this came in handy when I visited her with my 6 pound Chihuahua. I would’ve been a nervous wreck to have her outside otherwise. This bird knows where to find food and will be back unless steps are taken to remove them from harm’s way. 😢

Memoree Joelle Did I say it would? Wow you must think you really got me huh? Other birds can, like owls, or even coyotes etc. I know birds can only lift no more than they weigh. If it were killing my chickens, it qualifies as defense which means, dead bird. And being vegan for 15 yrs where no harm is done, it doesn't mean I won't defend my animals. So here we have another person who wants attention. Give yourself a hand I haven't caused harm or eaten any animal since going vegan FOR THE ANIMALS. I'll bet you pay for animals to be slaughtered to feed your belly. I love all animals
