Beautiful cat! If he is an indoor outdoor kitty put flyers on neighbors porches asking them to check their property throughly. When outdoor cats go missing it’s usually because they are trapped somewhere nearby. Look in garages, sheds, bats, crawl spaces, and storm drains. Look on roofs and up in trees too. Walk around the area and shake his treats and listen for him. Post on Nextdoor and file a lost report with the shelter asap . Put flyers at nearby vet offices too. Make sure no one in your neighborhood is trapping cats. Hope you find him safe soon.

If he is an indoor only cat, or new to and area, he is hiding very nearby where he was last seen. The good news is indoor cats are always found you just need to look everywhere! Look with a flashlight even during the day. Their first instinct is to hide in the first possible hiding spot. Look under bushes , porches, decks and cars with a flashlight even during the day. Look up in trees and up on roofs. Put out dirty laundry and other familiar scents outside ASAP with food and water and bedding. Look for him anywhere he could hunker down and hide in or under. Put flyers on neighbors porches asking them to check their property throughly for anywhere he could be hiding in case he slipped out of your yard. Look inside sheds and garages too. Post on Nextdoor and file a lost report with the shelter . Hope you find your kitty soon . Just don’t stop looking everywhere . Our daughters cat slipped out of her new house and hid almost two weeks until we saw her on security cameras. Every time she opened the door her cat would flee! We finally set a humane cat trap near the porch and monitored it from a distance with a security camera and caught her within a few hours. So leave the porch light. If possible open the door to make it easy for him to get back. Cats when outside their territory are on fight or flight mode and don’t want to be seen no matter how friendly they are. If he continues to hide, set a humane trap in the early morning hours. You will find him , just don’t stop looking. If he is microchipped, file a lost report with the microchip company too and make sure contact info is current
