Here are some guidance steps of additional things to do IF YOU FIND A DOG: • Please contact animal control to come by to scan the dog for a microchip and to file a found report or have them come pick up the dog (THIS IS A MUST). That’s the first place people look for their missing pets and not everyone is on social media. • Post the dog on Nextdoor, Ring and local FB lost & found pages. • Hang “Found” signs within the neighborhood, as not everyone is on social media. • Walk the dog around the neighborhood to see if anyone recognizes him/her and if he/she leads you to its home.
