How did she go missing? Was she on a leash? Is she microchipped or wearing a collar with identification tags? Post flyers everywhere that say “cash reward - no questions asked”. Unfortunately, many people are only motivated by greed. Hand out flyers to vets offices, groomers, dog walkers, dog parks, stores, coffee shops, anywhere that will let you. Make sure you notified the police department using their non emergency line if you haven’t already. That is always the first thing you should do. Many people report their dogs missing or call the police if they see or find a lost dog. Also - notify local shelters and go in person to see if your dog is there. Ask neighbors and stores/restaurants to check their cameras too. Leave something unwashed with her scent and your scent on it outside your home. Good luck! I hope your dog is home safely and soon. 🙏🙏🙏 Ask local stores, vets offices, restaurants, coffee shops, rescues etc to post on their social media too. Especially the ones with a large following. Get her picture out there!

Prayer Lost Pet When my dog was missing for a week while putting up a poster, a woman approached and said I saw your posters and said a prayer to St. Anthony. No sooner had she said that and left then I received a call that my dog was at the shelter. Prayer For Lost Pet Dear St. Francis and St. Anthony, please come promptly to the aid of this precious pet, and those who love him/her so, and enable him/her to find his/her way back home, having suffered no ill effects from her separation from her family. Thank you for your mercy on this family and their dearly loved pet, and for restoring him/her to them. Amen. 🙏🙏🙏

Tips Dog Lost Scent Trails You can help lead a lost dog to a feeding station or trap location by using scents that will attract him. 1. Set out a food bowl, preferably monitored by a trailcam or security camera. 2. Douse the immediate area around the bowl with liquid smoke. 3. Using a pump sprayer, make trails of liquid smoke outward from the bowl. Choose a pattern that works best with the terrain and vegetation. No matter which direction the wind is coming from, it will spread the scent in a cone shape when it crosses the trails. SCENT ARTICLES If you are bonded with the dog, your own scent can guide him in the right direction. Hang pieces of unwashed clothing on high branches where the wind can catch the scent.

Tips Dog Lost (NJ) Don’t lose precious time. Notify non-emergency police, shelters, vets, and animal control for your local areas and bring them a poster. Hire a professional tracker for consultation and tracking. Find someone who has tracking dog and/or drone and can set up a supervised trap if needed. Feel free to copy and paste to share with other lost dog owners. Look on social media lost pet pages and websites for professional referrals in your area. Research pawboost alert system and missingpets website for help in distributing posters everywhere. Leave a scented piece of owner’s clothing for the dog to trace back to the spot where last sighted. Replace daily if raining. Try using Liquid Smoke too. You can use a wildlife camera with an app that allows monitoring. Please save tips below to share with as many owners of lost dogs as possible. Try tips on websites below - remove space and parentheses for full website url. Some groups won’t accept links so this is best way to share. Tips for searching on websites Missing Animal Response (.com), Lost Dogs of America (.org), Petcolove (.org) scroll down to Petco Love Lost, and Humane Society (.org) Type in the Search box How to Find a Lost Dog. USAR Drone is a NJ volunteer group that offers search services in the state if available. You need to post neon flyers and distribute to all who walk or patrol areas with note on poster Do Not Chase or Call Name, Call with Sighting. Bring to all local shelters, rescues, vets, police and animal control. Also ask if you can post a lost ad at each place. If dog was adopted from rescue or shelter, notify them immediately. Please share poster indicating Do Not Chase Or Call Name, Call With Sighting to following Facebook pages Lost Dogs in New Jersey, and depending on location to Lost and Found Pets of Central Jersey, Union County Lost Pets, and Middlesex County NJ Lost and Found Pets, or any other local lost and found town, county, and state pages. Message if questions about any of the above. Try Pawboost for flyers and notifications to local vets, rescues, and shelters if intetested. Nextdoor App and Ring App are also good for notifying neighbors. Check Petfinder for dogs in rescue and shelter, and go to local shelters in person daily. If dog has microchip, call the company to report lost and ensure chip is registered and information is correct. If open to this, try animal communicator Marie Ganz to provide detailed description of area pet is lost and updates as requested if pet is on the move. She has helped reunite multiple owners with their pets. Avoid all text, Instagram, and "miracle pet finder" scams. Instagram referrals are scams that admins should block and report - do not message them, give out your info or phone number, or code number they request. Don't ever give up hope, keep searching, and update group! Send a message if you would like to review tips. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
